Although, I suppose I'd be Post-Straussian since I reject much of how he and other conservatives apply his philosophies into the real world.

Despite it having little to no relevance to my political situation, I'm intrigued and wish to know more in detail.

Honestly, they could be using their time for something more productive, and PLEASE don't use the terms American and Christian like they are conjoined at the hip.

That's what happens when your political process gets all nostalgic for the Puritans because of grossly-slanted history lessons. There's a reason the Empire tried to get rid of 'em, y'know, and it wasn't heathen idolatry either. (Hint: is it religious persecution if you're trying to stop a religious minority from persecuting other religious minorities? Hint 2: why do you think the US Constitution got all hot and bothered about forbidding the establishment of a state religion?)

I half expect Palin to endorse the return of the stocks and tarring-and-feathering, given the race-to-the-bottom aspect of modern conservative election rhetoric. (I pine for the days when "conservative" meant "not picking on the little guy", instead of "demanding universal conformity with one interpretation of the New Testament".)

The Lenski Dialogues gave me a laugh, I don't have any background in Microbiology but even I knew that proteins don't just magically appear, and that any scientific paper about original research includes the data within it to justify itself.

I'm also surprised that 4chaners haven't attacked the site yet...
