Coolest Alien race in video games

Okay, I looked through this whole thing and I haven't seen anyone mention one of my two favorites yet:

The Gnosis from Xenosaga

The other favorite? Orkz from 40K 'cuz dey big 'n' green 'n' da biggest is da leada 'n' dey gotz da red trukkz 'cuz dem red onez goes fasta 'n' gotz lotz o' gunz goin' "DAKKA DAKKA DAKKA" 'n' dey tuff 'n' dey liek t' yell "WAAAGH!!!"

Yep, one year of speech therapy down the drain the instant I discover Orks for Warhammer 40K. At least they're fun.

Space Pirates. Out of all the organizations in stories that get pushed over by a single hero, they are one of the few who appear to be losing due to reasonable circumstances, and not just out of stupidity. Samus simply has better tech. It was funny reading the space pirate log about trying to replicate the morph ball and ended up breaking there own troops. I mean, how can the trained Combine soldiers not shoot a lone scientist in the head who has no helmet? Intellegent, advanced, adaptable, Metroid addicts, and just plain awesome.

Yep more on the subject of aliens, what do you think is the most awesome alien race in gaming. For me it is definetly the Elites in the Halo series, what's yours?
(note aliens must look as non human as possible)

I almost agree. I think the Hunters from Halo are even more awesome though.
