Why are we talking about my friend Jesus Rosales? He is a local friend of mine at my school and my new Wing Commander for my JROTC unit. He's a pretty swell guy, and pretty fast. He just might.

Oh, wait, not THAT Jesus?

Well... I don't know. I'd have to look at your jesus and see his track record with dodging harmful objects in the past and decide then.

Well, assuming he really is the son of god and whatnot for a minute here, that whole crucifixion (which was being nailed to a wooden cross and then being stabbed with spears apparently) thing there tells me that he can stop them about as well as I can. Which is to say, under the right circumstances I could stop a bullet by letting it enter my body, but it'd fuck up my body as it does so.

He asked if he could stop bullets, not dodge them.

Anyone, son of God or not, can stop bullets. It hurts, though.

No, he just gets back up after being shot, he's more an immortal reginirator than a matrix defying deity.

Though still quite fictional
Yeah, he'd get back up, but it'd take him three days to do so. Jesus might be able to recover, but he's not very FAST at it.

Well he could, but that probably wouldn't fit into his ultimate plan, so he'd end up getting shot on purpose.

And yay God did say unto him his only son,

"When you are ready, you won't have to"

If you can dodge a crucifix you can dodge a bullet... Welp, sorry Jesus

Not that it matters, he'd just respawn a few days later

In all srsness: If it was God's will, then why not? He literally pushed his way through a crowd that was DESPERATELY TRYING TO MURDER HIM, so bullets don't look like a big stretch.

Sick burn.

That aside, liars fall flat when faced with death. Not to rile anyone up, but flesh and muscle are flesh and muscle. Also, moving fast enough to dodge a bullet would break your bones and/or connective tissue.

Edit: Oh, stop not dodge. Them I'll once again go with the magical powers don't exist argument. No offense.

Oh cmon, he couldn't stop the Romans with their pointy bits of metal. You really think ol' Jebus could stand up to the ways of the 21st century?

He wouldn't stop them per se, he'd absorb them and then shoot a giant ball of compressed lead back at the shootee's.

That would be a pretty cool way to die methinks, cannoned by Jesus.

According to Catholicism(not me, but it goes with my beliefs)
Jesus=God
God=Omnipotent
Omnipotent=Bullet-stopping

"can jesus swim?"
Oh dear God, I laughed at that one for 10 minutes straight. I'm probably gonna go to hell for that, but it was worth it.
In all seriousness, yes. Hell, he could probably convince the man to not fire in the first place. Or just stop thinking about the man about to shoot him.

He couldn't stop the nails when he was being nailed to a cross so I think it's safe to assume that he wouldn't be able to stop the bullets.
