I wander further into the WOODS as the light fades, I check my phone - it's 6:24pm, that was a long car ride. A WOLF comes out from the darkness, it seems friendly at first, but soon others appear. I mustn't have washed all the blood off, they probably smelled it on me. They're growling and seem ready to attack. What should I do? FIGHT, FLEE or BLOCK?

I grasp the shovel and slam it into the first WOLF's head. It falls to the floor but manages to pick itself up. Now they're just angrier.
I drop the SHOVEL and run, hoping and praying to whatever will listen I can run faster than WOLVES. I reach the ROAD still in one piece and stop. Where should I go? Why do I care in a time like this? Why can't I decide between following the ROAD, crossing the BRIDGE or on to the CAMPSITE I saw earlier?

The WOLVES are getting closer. I buy some time and climb a nearby TREE and rest on a BRANCH that hangs over the RIVER.
I take out my KNIFE and prepare to fight for my freedom. Whichever direction I decide to go.

> Call some emergency service with your PHONE.
> Throw COINS as far as you can to try and distract the WOLVES.

[sub][sub][sub]I have no idea if that would work with wolves...[/sub][/sub][/sub]

I get out my phone to try and call the Police. No! I'm a murderer, they'll lock me up!
Maybe an Ambulance? But then I'd have to hurt myself for them to care!
The Fire Brigade? No! They gets Cats out of trees, not people chased by WOLVES.
-1 CONFIDENCE
Maybe I can distract the WOLVES? I throw the shiny COINS, but they can't be bribed.
BRIBE target: WOLVES failed
I could scare them away if I managed to kill or hurt one badly enough.

The WOLF I hit earlier is trying to climb up and get me. I take the LARGE KNIFE and cut through the BRANCH, falling. The combined weight crushes the WOLF, it is dead. I lunge out with the LARGE KNIFE to try and hit the others, but they run as I lose my balance. I fall in the river, dropping the LARGE KNIFE, but manage to hold onto a ROCK on the bank, but it's coming loose! -2 HEALTH[footnote]I am keeping track of these, by the way. Hint "View Character Sheet".[/footnote]

Do I HOLD ON, LET GO or CLIMB OUT, though the wolves might still be near?

The current is quite strong. Enough to have made me think twice about crossing the RIVER unaided before. It leads to the LAKE.

I continue to HOLD ON until I'm fairly sure the WOLVES have gone, but the rock is rapidly loosening from the power of the RIVER, which has now soaked me through.
It's freezing cold.
-1 HEALTH
I can CLIMB OUT, I'm sure the WOLVES have left, or LET GO, be dragged to the LAKE, risking Hypothermia or worse on the way.
