Heh, quite hilarious. And i have to say, there's something really lovely in the Skyrim enemy difficulties. I go trough some dungeons smashing heads with ease, only to find a guy at the end who's so damn strong I have to use every little thing I've got on me to beat him by the hair. And everything he does, he does better than me! He shouts, my weapons fall down, I shout, he ignores it. And after beating him, i find out he wasn't the "end boss" of the part, oh no. After going trough the dungeon i reach a mountaintop, and find myself against a mage who's even stronger. And somehow, i win against him, and get some amazing loot. Now that is awesome in my eyes.

Too true! I had to shelve my Khajiit Nightingale due to that exact problem. And Dwemer Spheres. Plus that perk that makes sneak attacks with daggers do x15 damage looks good and all, but against more than one opponent it's not worth the paper Ra'Viir's obituary is written on.
Allow me to introduce ... Illusion! Making those sneak attacks sooo much more effective thanks to a somewhat cheesy Calm - Sneak - Attack - Repeat combo! ..... dragons tend to kick my ass though >.<

I got 1400 armor in Dragonscale Light armor set thanks to 250 blacksmithing, 125 enchanting and 170 light armor.
Any armor past 567 doesn't add any more protection.

I'm a level-23 stealth-archer, and most of my fights with the draugr end with my first shot. If the shit ever hits the fan, I have Lydia backing me up, and she is equipped with the best weapons and armour I've found(which I've also upgraded and enchanted). She usually takes all of the aggro, as I go completely unnoticed by the opposition, leaving me free for sneak-attacks. If that's not enough, I have Sanguine's Rose.

So far, the first mission for Morrowind's fighters guild gave me more trouble than Skyrim. The only time I had to put any effort into a fight was against Krosis.

Well, my first character, a Dunmer assassin, has the Ancient Shrouded Gloves, so he does 600 damage on every sneak attack with the Blade of Woe. That coupled with the stealth roll allows me to attack and escape until my targets are destroyed.

That's the problem I have with Skyrim. The only trade skills that are worth leveling are Smithing and Enchantment. Any other ones will get you reamed by the super powerful...everything. Enchantment breaks the game wide open, though. Hello +5000% one handed damage and 0% Destruction Magicka Cost.
Yeah, I did that my first character, said..."WTF is this shit", then made a new one and I'm avoiding enchanting.

I was wondering about the level scaling.. It's too bad you can kind of work yourself into a corner like that. My character for example has very high stealth compared to her other stats, which pretty much guarantees that I have to use sneak attacks, because in a straight up fight I can only take a few blows to the face before taking a permanent nap on the floor. I don't really mind though, sneak attacks are friggin' sweet!
I've been doing a full stealth playthrough, so I'm in the same boat and I'll advise to activate the Thief Stone when you find it so you can level in Sneaking faster. Once you get Daggers 15x sneak damage, you're unstoppable!

Of course, if you have the perk that makes daggers do insane Sneak Attack damage, Draugr Deathlords are no problem.

Game is much better if your ignore the crafting skills completely.
That's not how roleplaying works! D:

Speaking of, is it possible to equip a shield-and-spell with no weapon? If so, I know what I'm doing when I get the game.
It is if you roleplay someone who doesn't do "manual labor" ;)

Yes, you can do that.

The shield perks are pretty awesome as well.

Summon two Dremora Lords ... problem solved. Ancient Dragons are the only things giving me trouble, otherwise ..."I smell weakness!"

I'm glad I'm not the only one who puts on a blacksmith's apron when I'm actually blacksmithing.
I tend to enchant a blacksmith's apron with a smithing buff, so I actually get a bonus (in addition to the role-playing benefits).

Well that's what you get if you want to rush things power leveling in smithing + enchanting instead of actually doing some physical stuff, like the Draugr :) (even though having high smithing + ench pays off, but it's not something I like to do, especially at the start of the game)

I love how this thread is full of people telling him how to play the game.

Sometimes I wonder whether these same killjoys show up to the gigs of stand up comedians. Here's how I imagine it would go:

Comedian: "So I went to Greece for a holiday recently. Bit disappointed. Someone should sue that island called Lesbos for false advertising."
Random guy in the audience: "Hey! You know that that's where the term lesbians actually came from, right? And by the way, if you wanted to enjoy a Greek island properly you should have gone to Mykonos!"

I've ran into Dragur Deathlords at like, level 8. I don't much think that their appearance is scaled.
Not their appearance, their strength is scaled to match yours.

Want to play crafting heroes, will get reamed. This seems justified to me

You are specialising into a niche, and then wanting to take on melee monsters. Play a pure stealth archer, and the game is pretty easy though.

After many tried and abandoning the main quest to go westwards and fight liches, I managed to take a deathlord at an absurdly low level, as a pure sword and shield fighter. It was a great challenge. Learn how the game works, how to fight, how to move and groove, and you can take anything (took deathlord at 8, had to come back at 10 for the lich).

My stealth skill is so ridiculously high none of the enemies can even spot me unless I physically bump into them, even if I'm pumping them full of arrows. Working on smithing and enchanting now that everyone says they're OP. =P
They're ridiculously OP. You ever see Deadric Armor crafted with a 230 smithing skill, then enchanted with a 100% destruction mana cost reduction. Lydia has, and so have the Elder Dragons.

btw whats your avatar from?
