I haven't played Half Life 2 yet, surprisingly, but will very soon. I hope it is as good as it has always been hyped up to be.Apophis47_NZ said:It just has so many memorable scenes, and the dialog, particularly between Julez and Vincent is fantastic.Downfall89 said:I don't get why people love Pulp Fiction. Don't hate on me, I know it's supposedly an incredibly great movie, but I don't see why..
Could someone briefly tell me why they love it so?
I have to say the only film Ive ever seen based solely on good reviews was "No Country For Old Men" and that was the most boring and dull rubbish I have ever seen.
In terms of games, I dont get why Half Life 2 is so revered. Yeah sure it's good, but the weapons are dull, the vehicle sections are horrible, and the fact that none of the characters ever explain what the heck has been going on since Black Mesa is really annoying!!!
I agree that Bioshock was far from the golden child that everyone seems to think it was, but it was good enough. Why I liked it was because I saw what Bioshock COULD have been. It had such potential, but it seems they ran out of time/money/caring.Fingerlicking said:Bioshock is such a mediocre game it brings the industry as a whole down a peg in my eyes.
*Whew*
Glad to finally get that out.

That's exactly how I felt about it. The potential I kept glimpsing actually stopped my enjoyment in it's tracks though. I played for twenty minutes then quit because it actually caused me intellectual pain to keep going.AccursedTheory said:I agree that Bioshock was far from the golden child that everyone seems to think it was, but it was good enough. Personally... Avatar, Twilight, and Twitter. I do not understand why anyone cares about these things.

Probably the second one.Furburt said:I don't think we should ever meet, because if we do, either the universe will collapse or we'll start fighting.JourneyThroughHell said:It seems you were right, we are polar reflections of each other.
I loved the hell out of that movie.
I agree on that one. It is not particularly bad, but it is not good either. I found it pretty but boring, the character was likeable but its design was not new (it looked like a short version of Jhonny-5, a similarity I am surprised few people notice), and the enviromental aesop felt like a sermon and was handled horribly. In my oppinion, it is the lowest in Pixar career, and not even close to the best animated movie of that year...SlowShootinPete said:And Wall-E.
Pretty much that. Justin Bieber's out of a town about an hour away from me, so people here are extra obsessed with him, and I fucking hate him. I wish I could stomp his face into the floor while urinating on Stephanie Meyer and strangling her.SnootyEnglishman said:Twilight,Justin Bieber, and anything that is shat out by the Disney corporation nowadays.
