Well I have to wonder if that's just a CGI video... but considering the first game, who knows. Also, to run a game at that quality of graphics... oh man, no WAY you could play it without a $1000+ super gaming rig lol.

Largely theoretical for me, anyway. Unless Crytek pulls a Chris Taylor and makes Crysis 2 have LOWER system requirements, I won't be able to play it at all - I have to turn the dial on Crysis 1 down to 1280x720 to get a decent frame rate.

For those of us whose PCs cost under $1000US, I'll take the blocky but functional Supreme Commander 2 over the shiny but imaginary Crysis.

Reminds me of this;

Crysis 1 didn't look THAT good. They are obviously "Promo shots"
Yeah, but it was close enough. So the screenshots for Crysis 2 may be a bit embellished, but that probably won't affect it much.

Also, fixed slightly.

But that changes over time. A Crysis on high capable PC now doesn't cost a vast amount anymore. The technology will trickle down to us non obsessives eventually.

With any luck they'll get the optimisations right for a wider range of PC's than Crysis, Warhead was better, so there's hope.

I can only image the gaming rig needed to run that thing on the highest setting at a constant rate......... maybe I should just sign over my soul now.

They look nice and pretty, but put a HUD on it, tape a gun to the camera, and give the player control, and the graphics look a bit worse.

Unless they put in some awesome code to move the camera around like it's a cinematic. Doubt it. :p

Wonder if my computer will be able to run it. It might be able to, just with a terrible fps.

Just like the original, this game is going to look pretty but it's going to have shalllow and bland gameplay. This game is going to be nothing more than just eye-candy, just like Crysis and Crysis Warhead.
shallow and bland?! you mean call of duty. "shoot the guys ahead of you and proceed"
crysis had a very good ai, open areas and killing n.koreans with water bottles.

Brings a tear to my eyes :'D
the first was a great looking game that i was really enjoying until i reached the bore, er .. core level.

i never played the first one again, solely because of that horrible level.

hopefully there will be nothing like that in the 2nd game.
