That's the reply I initially wanted to give.SL33TBL1ND said:Crysis 2.
Just because the console versions have to look worse doesn't mean the PC version will suffer, and from what I have heard they are putting effort into making Crysis 2 look as good as possible.mokachill said:crysis 2 will be either comparable or slightly worse than the first because it needs to be playable by the PS3 and (more importantly) the 360... that and the gameplay will be shit in comparison but thats beside the pointAverageJoe said:In short? No, nothing really comes close to Crysis yet, except maybe Crysis 2 when that comes out! lol
Far Cry 2 is very pretty, especially fire effects, and you should check that out on a gaming PC; but it's no Crysis. Resident Evil 5's graphics also impressed me immensely, as did Devil May Cry 4 (which is by the same developers and uses the same engine) and you can grab them both on PC (they are both exceptionally good ports too)
errr as for the gameplay of the games I just mentioned: FC2 is a good but very frustrating game, Resident Evil 5 made me want to throw my computer out of the window, and DMC4 is fun but repetitive.
I liked how they did it, the environment sucked me in and I got to see a guys head blow apart in 3 different directions.Ultratwinkie said:fallout 3 had the most low res textures, and the crappiest models in a game. i thought "did they cut the budget and have to use morrowind graphics?" during the entire game. mass effect 2 however is close.Cody211282 said:Mass Effect 2 looked shiny so did Fallout 3
Actually the PC graphics are going to be very different from those on the consoles, so it will probably still be the best looking game on the PC (in terms of realistic graphics of course).mokachill said:crysis 2 will be either comparable or slightly worse than the first because it needs to be playable by the PS3 and (more importantly) the 360... that and the gameplay will be shit in comparison but thats beside the pointAverageJoe said:In short? we are stuck in 2007 primarily because most games are made for consoles and ported over to pc, secondly pc only developers are shrinking in numbers and those that continue are usually smaller developers, and thirdly because some game makers do not want to push their system requirements through the roof and limit their sales because people have to upgrade their pcs.veloper said:No, crysis is STILL the prettiest/most advanced game and the system requirements aren't all that high nowadays.
Crysis is 2.5 yrs old now. Maybe we're stuck in 2007 because there's only so much artists can do on a triple-A budget.
