Do trolls count? We've all seen those, but they usually are retarded and if you get them pissed (their stunt backfires) they then claim to be a member of anonymous (the biggest joke of an organization I have ever seen). No, I do not feel threatened in anyway by anything on the internet.
You can't un-see anything, though. I have been emotionally damaged by some of the things I have SEEN WITH THESE EYES OF MINE!

I have no idea how this could be accomplished and have any kind of effect on a normal human being over the age of 12.

I would simply like to remind everyone that just because he's a cyber-bully doesn't mean he doesn't know you in real life. (ugh double negative)

Like say a group of kids mess with you in school and when the day is done they go on some social networking site and make fun of you even more, ostracizing you from the school community even more.

It would be like telling a depress person to grow a pair.

Pretty sure I saw a movie on this and was like the example I showed above.

Cyberbullying is when somone constantly hounds sending you horrble e-mails etc. and trying to completely ruin any fun you're having. The problem with cyberbullying is that usually the person will be bullying you off the internet as well. For example pretend you're 10 years old again. Now pretend in school every day somone or some group never leave you alone and bladdhy bladdhy blah we all know what normal bullying is. Now imagine you finally come home and are given piece. And then that same person starts sending you texts, e-mails etc. You'd feel pretty bad. So no "Grow a pair!" is not an appropriate result.
i don't know wtf happens in other countries but i've never ever EVER experienced or seen bullying in younger years (~10) what fucked up country are you all living in?
A country which has phone, internet and 10 year old kids to be bullied

I think it depends a lot on where the line is drawn. A lot of the example I have seen of "cyber-bullying" is outright threatening and blackmailing. Those are definitely real problems, and they have been made quite a bit easier these days.
I have actually been physically threatened a few times online. I know that it's just empty threat, so I brushed it aside. But I can see it becoming a real problem for some.

Ultimately it comes down to the victim to decide what to do. This will sound insensitive, but they should quit if they can't take the heat--it's that simple. The wired world is not a small place. It's not like changing your phone number or migrating to a different website is a hard thing to do these days. If they have enough EQ and IQ to tell the real threats from empty threats, then it's all fine and dandy.

sure of course fuck technology or if you want it to stop you can find out where the person is and either report them to the police or just kick em in the balls either way is fine

I'm sure it's just the same as being trolled.

I suppose I can be sympathetic if it's lots of people picking on you, but really, it can't be that hard to ignore.

Cyberbullying is just a stupid issue that people with low self esteem have. They forget to realize that they are on the internet where the people don't actually know them and that you never actually see them. So why the hell should you (or I) give a f*ck what they think. For that matter, I don't really give a f*ck what people think of me in real life either.

You can set E-mails to filter out people you don't want. Quite a few sites can ban certain users from messaging you or accessing your page of whatever site you're on. You can also block them with phones. It you really don't want to tell the individual to "F*ck off", then you can just block them and avoid them. It's not problem.

But... if it's a hacker... then you might be boned.

Alright so this kid start bugging me at school, calling me names and harassing me etc. I don't have many friends to stick up for me but I'm coping with it. Just ignoring his shit. Then I get home to find some peace and what do you know? He's added me on MSN and is now sending me insults, so I flip him off infront of my computer screen and block him before sending a prompt "fuck off". Then he starts emailing me! WELL I respond with a prompt "fuck off twice" then mark the mail as junk. THEN he starts texting me! Well then I turn off the phone and save the messages as evidence for the upcoming court hearing.

It's that easy folks.

How do you even get cyber-bullied? what is that?
Bullied over the internet basically. I bully the thick turds on Call of Duty, if that counts.
So what you're saying is; someone is so stupid they stick around and let someone else trash talk them? What do you do? I don't see how it can be bullying if they can just leave.
ok when you are cyber bullied someone is mean to you in a post or an e-mail like let's say you get an e-mail that says "The world would be better without you!" or "Go kill yourself." many kids have done these things 2% of deaths of teens are cyber-bullying
"2% of deaths of teens are cyber-bullying". I love it when statisticians do that shit. Perhaps "2% of teens are cyber-bullied?".

[HEADING=1]89% of people in car accidents eat carrots![/HEADING]

Holy shit we have to stop people from eating carrots! Or we will all die! 90% of statistics are a joke.

Heres some advice that a very high looking cat above said.

[HEADING=1]grow a pair[/HEADING]
Oh My god thats funny! XD I never have been cyber bullied so haha!

Lets see. Someone says something mean to me online. Mute or the magic x.
Someone says something mean to me in real life i laugh ny ass off at them. If someone is harrassing you online there are ways to ignore them. Also if they have nothing better to do than constantly harass you. What does that make them?

For people who have considered suicide or known someone who has...you usaully don't want to for one reason and the one reason shouldn't be someone online. Theres more to it
