Cyber bullying

I was once bullied, by a guy in my gaming clan so I responded with taking his face and cheaply editing it on a goatse picture and sent it to all of his friends, and then proceded to ban get him banned from everything related to the clan with the evidence I was saving up.

Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I think many of the posters on here are confused about the difference between cyberbullying and tards on the internet being dicks.

Cyberbullying is a problem when it carries from real life into the internet-- it used to be nerds could find solace in the internet-- now the popular kids are chasing them into their facebook accounts or whatever the hell you kids are doing these days.

So its a one-two punch-- its not really JUST the cyber bullying, its coupling the IRL bullying WITH the cyber bullying. So you have these pathetic little dipshits who are trying to get through to the next day between overbearing parents and being unpopular, then they get antagonized everywhere they go online and off. Thats what leads to the suicides.

Cyberbullying is when somone constantly hounds sending you horrble e-mails etc. and trying to completely ruin any fun you're having. The problem with cyberbullying is that usually the person will be bullying you off the internet as well. For example pretend you're 10 years old again. Now pretend in school every day somone or some group never leave you alone and bladdhy bladdhy blah we all know what normal bullying is. Now imagine you finally come home and are given piece. And then that same person starts sending you texts, e-mails etc. You'd feel pretty bad. So no "Grow a pair!" is not an appropriate result.

Grow a pair is a perfect idea. Someone who's bullying me starts sending me texts and e-mails? That's what Blacklist and Block are for. Whilst you can ignore words, you can't ignore someone hitting you, so physical bullying is a problem. You wanna come into my domain and fuck about with me here? It ain't happening. It's like that girl who committed suicide after a girl sent her a load of hate mail over facebook. The girl had been bullied by her for 4 years previously. Why do I bring this up? Because the bullied girl was that idiotic that she decided to add someone who she didn't like.

No, I've never been bullied.

But yes, if I'm on Kongregate and I'm feeling particularly bored, I'll pick some idiot out and troll the daylights out of him. I've had people threaten to firebomb my house *shrug*. The mod of the room I frequent basically tells people they probably deserved it if they complain about me,one of the advantages of being a local.

I think its not a problem if its some random dude.

But when people you know are bullying you over the internet and sending death threats and those types of things thats when it becomes a problem.

And as for whats happened to me people say stuff in almost every online game i don't take it to heart or care.

Bullied over the internet basically. I bully the thick turds on Call of Duty, if that counts.

So what you're saying is; someone is so stupid they stick around and let someone else trash talk them? What do you do? I don't see how it can be bullying if they can just leave.

ok when you are cyber bullied someone is mean to you in a post or an e-mail like let's say you get an e-mail that says "The world would be better without you!" or "Go kill yourself." many kids have done these things 2% of deaths of teens are cyber-bullying

If this is true then teens need to grow a pair.

Yeah, cyberbullying isn't someone going 'lolfag' on COD, a lot of the time its an orchestrated campaign to demean and humiliate someone by spreading rumours online, debasing the target and trying to turn people against them.

It's not just a case of 'lol ignore them', you'd have to try to get everyone at school to ignore it too. As the above said its also not just nasty messages online, its a combination of online and real world bullying that is designed to make someone feel worthless, and it's not just a case of 'ignore' protecting you, the same way going 'lalalala' and putting your fingers in your ears won't stop someone punching you in the face, or closing your eyes will stop someone telling everyone you fucked your pet cat.

The "lol ignore them" thing is exactly what i did, And it worked for me. Even when i was being beaten to a pulp for the way i looked, I just took it and showed no emotion. And it eventually stopped
