On their "God's Hit-List" they included Linux users as a group god hated.
I really hope it's a joke though. Some of the stuff on the Gods Hit-List... They were saying things like "Died of cancer, God won!". If that's trolling, it seems too far...

Actually if my memory of History, Religion and Mythology is as sharp as it used to be I think Odin and by extension Thor were meant to be the stand-ins for God and Jesus when the Northen Eurpoe was trying to be converted to Christianity. Don't hold this to me though just yet. I must consult my scrolls. Quick someone pass me my Rod of Illumination!Mr.France said:It's stuff like that that made me resort to paganism, anyone here ever considered adopting Oden as the true king of the universe?

Well technically Odin would an allegory as well considering the story of how he gained the wisdom of the runes and shared them with others. He was impaled, "cruxified" on the World tree for nine days, died and then ressurected.Turing said:Eh?Quantum Roberts said:Actually if my memory of History, Religion and Mythology is as sharp as it used to be I think Odin and by extension Thor were meant to be the stand-ins for God and Jesus when the Northen Eurpoe was trying to be converted to Christianity. The nordic gods were pre-christianity, although the christians did try and explain some of them as allegories for their "true religion".
Having...Balder I think it was, as an allegory for Jebus made it easier for the scandinavians to accept christianity, as most of them were pretty open about religion in the first place.
