Would shapeshifting powers be out of the question? Say, a fae that can turn into animals and such?

I'll come up with a character, after this question is answered. ^^

Sorry matey. Didn't see you post before I posted. I forget to refresh my screen sometimes.
It's fine. I just need to be quicker on the draw. I had something else in mind, anyway.

Name: Sophia Marshall
Gender: Female
Age: 28
Nation: USA
Species: Half-demon

Appearance: Naturally, she's quite attractive. Blond hair in a tight braid that ends just past her shoulders, dark freckles on her well-tanned face, perpetually glowing red eyes that she often hides behind sunglasses (they often flare when she's feeling angry; non-savvy people either can't see it, or think she's ill). Often wears camouflage of some kind and always carries at least a sidearm and a knife.

Personality: Generally a decent person, but unfortunately quick to anger, which hasn't helped her standing with her savvy coworkers. A former Marine-turned-Commando, she's self-sacrificing and willing to give her life for the cause, especially if it'll help save more later on.

Division: 3, Military

Skills: Guns of all kinds, being a commando, though she prefers automatics. Decent with her knife. People skills need work.

Power/magic: Her main power is being able to conjure magic condensed into bullets and clips that have different effects, from armor-piercing to different elemental effects like ice-bullets, on the fly. She can also see in the dark and is a bit stronger and faster than most humans.

Weapons & Equipment: Steyr AUG, M32 Grenade Launcher, Colt .45, combat knife

Bio: Sophie's known about demons and the like since she was little, since her father was a demon. She only found out how much people didn't like half-demons when she started coming across other people who knew about them. Already dealing with anger issues, she didn't take the threats and insults well. She joined the Marines in an attempt to learn some discipline, much to her mother's dismay. It sort of worked, but she still tends to go off on those that insult her for her heritage.

However, even her savvy superiors couldn't deny that she could get results, and she moved up the ranks (not quickly, but she moved). They still didn't like her, though, so they tried sending her on suicide missions a lot... and were shocked when she radioed back for pickup every time, even if she rest of her squad was dead.

Eventually, her file was picked up by DICE (well, less "picked up" and more "forwarded by the higher-ups that were sick of her") and was brought into Division Three, where she quickly proved herself, and actually seemed happier to be around more people like her... though her temper still remains.
Sorry to double-post, but here it is.

EDIT: Changes made to explain her powers just a little better.

ID Card
Name- Tony Marks
Gender-Male
Age-29
Nation-USA
Species-(Believes he's)Human

Appearance- A colossal man, standing nearly 6'9" and weighing close to 300lbs, he is practically the definition of heavy infantry. He is quite muscular, almost akin to a body builder, yet not quite at that extreme. He has a face that seems to perpetually scowl, but that might just from the scar running from his chin, up through his lips and then twisting off to his cheek. He has brown hair, normally kept in a crew cut and a light stubble broken by his rather viscous looking scar. His eyes are a strange mixture of green and gold, that would seem to point towards a not so "pure" heritage.

Personality- Generally kind yet gruff, he has a tendancey to speak his mind, and does so bluntly. He has an extreme prejudice towards any type of demon(half or otherwise) however, due to a rather nasty incident that earned him his scar. His main reason for being here to "give the demons whats coming to em'." This may cause him to go out of his way or inconvenience the group for revenge.

Division-3-Military

Skills- Makes good use of Big Bertha, his "souvenir" experimental chain railgun, and is an amazing hand to hand combantant. He has a very good knowledge of demons, as one must know their enemy.

Weapons & Equipment- Big Bertha, the experimental chain railgun that saved his life, is a large, heavy gun with absurd recoil, but he is capable of wielding it due to his size and strength. It is loaded with 5 1" slugs capable of blasting through ludicrously hard substances like butter. He carries 4 magazines for it, plus one in the gun giving him 25 shots. He carries holy water which he puts on his fists before brawling with demons, and has a large K-bar in his boot if a fight starts going the wrong way.

Bio- Tony had a rather normal life until his family was attacked by demons. They unknowingly stumbled into a demon infested part of New York city, and were attacked after witnessing one shapeshift. the demon killed Tony's parents instantly and went after him next. The demon was gaining and tony had no where to run. finding himself backed into a corner he almost brokedown crying, thinking this would be the end, but there must have been a fight here between some Div 1 agents and demons as there was blood everywhere and a huge red stained cannon sitting off to the side of the alley. tony quickly grabbed for it and barely managaed to pull the trigger, but not before the demon was already sinking a claw into his face. coming out this horrifying night without a family, and with a new seething hatred for demons, Tony decided it was time to put Bertha to work. He went ahead and joined the military and, due to his prowess with it, was allowed to keep using Big Bertha, so that Div 6 would have some field info it's effectiveness.

There isnt one set type. They will range from intelligent, vaguely human looking ones to traditional horns and tail ones. Along with any abomination you can think of inbetween.

Is there a set genetic way of describing demons, and do they have DNA or another way of identifying their genes? And, do my character get to expand on this, (like i figure out different things) or will you (the gm) decide what he finds?

Okay. Mass Feedback. Part one.

The only thing I found amiss was that the bio didnt explain how he knows demons exist, or why he feels the need to study them.

What are the limitations of the elemental magic? She's not going to be throwing around fire tornadoes is she?

Working on expanding the bio, but I would appreciate any feedback to my ideas so far.
A few questions to help with that.

Has she actually encountered a demon on the field before? And how did she handle that when she learned demons existed?

This actually looks like it works well with the story I have in mind. Good one.

Studying the blood would give you the effect that demonic dna is "deviant of earth origin". A humanoid demon's dna would look lightly like a human's but with fractures and corruptions. Same goes with an insect demon being deviant of insect dna.

D6 character will get to play around with this as much as they want, but I can hand you concepts if you get lost.

No, she hasn't fully trained in the ability to dual wield two different elements at once; and with regards to her weaponry, she can only have one element cast on them at a time, but also, her attacks gain that elements abilities. For example, if she had fire on the whip, they would be a chance that it could set the target alight for a moment. Does that answer a few questions? If there are any more, please ask.

Let me know what you guys think of this character. I will gladly make changes if needed, and since I'm seeing a few people whose characters need partners or handlers I would be more than willing to alter my char to work that in.

Name: Garath Heller

Gender: Male

Age: 32

Nation: American

Species: Human

Appearance: Tall and thin, with short swept back black hair and a goatee. Has a fondness for suits and in general believes in being well-dressed.

Personality: Lazy and frequently sarcastic, he tends to come across as pessimistic, however he is very protective of others and cares deeply about doing the right thing. He has a tendency to show off if he has something resembling an audience.

Division: 2

Skills: Garath is a decent shot with a pistol or a rifle, and prefers to avoid close combat if possible. If he is hunting a target he will call on spirits and question the dead to gain information and is often tasked with working alongside division 4 as a result of his skills. He is very knowledgable regarding magic, and is also very good at working a crowd and can be very charismatic if he needs to.

Power/magic: Skilled in illusions, necromancy, and with calling/summoning and binding spirits or demons. He has learned to mark an object so that he can summon it later if he needs it. Prefers to use magic to save himself work, and has been known to use it to accomplish rather mundane tasks.
He is very good with Illusions, and is capable of changing the appearance of small buildings, and can even turn an individual invisible for a a minute or two, though this becomes more difficult the larger the person is and the more they move. His talents with necromancy tend more to speaking with the dead than actually animating them, although he can create and control a zombie or two if need be. He prefers not to use summoning as he cannot control what he summons unless he manages to bind it to his will, which is very difficult and dependent on him having greater willpower than whatever he is controlling.

Weapons & Equipment: Always carries a handgun, and usually will bring a rifle or shotgun if he needs one. Also tends to carry a deck of cards and occasionally other implements for practicing slight of hand tricks.

Bio: Garath Heller used to be a stage magician, and a fairly sucessful one at that given that his magic was not all slight of hand and optical illusions but was very frequently real, and more dangerous than he knew. DICE discovered him shortly after a "performance" of his involving some rather dangerous spirits went awry, and offered him the choice of being watched by their agents for the rest of his life, or joining them.
He learned the basics of his magic from his mother who made a living as a medium performing seances and other tricks, aside from what he learned from her he is largely self-taught, and has amassed a decent collection of books over the years for the purpose of improving his skills.
His skills meant that he is frequently assigned to watch over dangerous objects or captive demons, as he can try to bind them to his will should they turn violent.

Addendum: (Only applicable if both this character and Crow/subject 24 (wilcoblackflame) makes it into the rp)
Currently Garath is serving as Subject 24's handler, and has been for two years now, and tends to accompany him on missions. He tends to have more trust in 24 than most and a greater tolerance for 24's sense of humor.

Name: Goes by the call sign "Ghost", real name is Jason Richards

Gender: Male

Age: 27

Nation: USA

Species: Human

Appearance: 5'9" tall, slightly built but well toned. He has brown hair and green eyes, with a fairly bad scar going from the corner of his right eye back through his ear.

Personality: Fairly cautious, but when the time comes to act he doesn't hesitate. His training in the military has taught him to not be negatively affected by fear.

Division: Division 3 - Military

Skills: Trained in Covert Operations, infiltration, hand to hand, short, and mid range combat, as well as threat detection.

Power/magic: Will possibly add something here if I think of one that will fit the character.

Weapons & Equipment: Silenced urban camo'd M4 carbine with an ACOG scope, an FNP .45 semi-auto handgun, KA-BAR US NAVY fighting knife, standard body armor, and anything else necessary for the mission.

Bio: Volunteered for the US NAVY when he turned 18, did well in basic training as well as marksmanship. As soon as he graduated Basic, he volunteered for SEAL training, graduated second in his class and was placed in SEAL team 6. He was in a few engagements, nothing too major, until his team was sent to take a warehouse in Afghanistan. He had had a bad feeling about this mission from the beginning, but resigned himself to do the mission regardless of how he felt about it.

The mission was going smoothly, until they tried to open the only container in the place. When they cut the lock, the door burst open and what could only be described as a monster charged out and quickly reduced the 4 man unit down to two. Jason was far enough back that he wasn't within the things reach, but even he thought he wasn't gonna make it out alive. He did the only thing he could think of: he opened up with his M4 and hoped for the best.

Somehow, through pure luck or happenstance, the demon went down, but not before eliminating the third man of the squad. Alone, and totally unsure of what had just happened, he called for evac. When he arrived back at base, no one would believe what had happened, some even going so far as to accuse him of killing his squad mates.

The higher-ups put him in the brig until they could prove or disprove his claims, but it didn't take long for D.I.C.E. to hear about it and offer him a chance to get back at the Demons. He accepted and has been working for them ever since.

Let me know if there's anything you'd like changed, or if it's alright as it stands.

Two questions:

1) Is there a faction who directly oppose demons, who are also supernatural i.e. Angels?

2) How long has D.I.C.E been around?
