Works for me if you want to be Crow's handler in the field or whatever when they're not doing experiments on him down in the Div. 6 labs. The binding/summoning thing works in well with keeping him on his leash as it were.IFS said:Let me know what you guys think of this character. I will gladly make changes if needed, and since I'm seeing a few people whose characters need partners or handlers I would be more than willing to alter my char to work that in.
Name: Garath Heller
Gender: Male
Age: 32
Nation: American
Species: Human
Appearance: Tall and thin, with short swept back black hair and a goatee. Has a fondness for suits and in general believes in being well-dressed.
Personality: Lazy and frequently sarcastic, he tends to come across as pessimistic, however he is very protective of others and cares deeply about doing the right thing. He has a tendency to show off if he has something resembling an audience.
Division: 2
Skills: Garath is a decent shot with a pistol or a rifle, and prefers to avoid close combat if possible. If he is hunting a target he will call on spirits and question the dead to gain information and is often tasked with working alongside division 4 as a result of his skills. He is very knowledgable regarding magic, and is also very good at working a crowd and can be very charismatic if he needs to.
Power/magic: Skilled in illusions, necromancy, and with calling/summoning and binding spirits or demons. He has learned to mark an object so that he can summon it later if he needs it. Prefers to use magic to save himself work, and has been known to use it to accomplish rather mundane tasks.
He is very good with Illusions, and is capable of changing the appearance of small buildings, and can even turn people invisible for a while. His talents with necromancy tend more to speaking with the dead than actually animating them, although he can create and control a zombie or two if need be. He prefers not to use summoning as he cannot control what he summons unless he manages to bind it to his will, which is very difficult and dependent on him having greater willpower than whatever he is controlling.
Weapons & Equipment: Always carries a handgun, and usually will bring a rifle or shotgun if he needs one. Also tends to carry a deck of cards and occasionally other implements for practicing slight of hand tricks.
Bio: Garath Heller used to be a stage magician, and a fairly sucessful one at that given that his magic was not all slight of hand and optical illusions but was very frequently real, and more dangerous than he knew. DICE discovered him shortly after a "performance" of his involving some rather dangerous spirits went awry, and offered him the choice of being watched by their agents for the rest of his life, or joining them.
His skills meant that he is frequently assigned to watch over dangerous objects or captive demons, as he can try to bind them to his will should they turn violent.
1)Within DICE, no. Outside of it, yes.MortifiedPenguin said:Two questions:
1) Is there a faction who directly oppose demons, who are also supernatural i.e. Angels?
2) How long has D.I.C.E been around?
1) 9-13IFS said:I've got a couple questions
1. How many people are going to be in the final group for this rp?
2. Is DICE the only anti-demon organization or are there others? Perhaps rival organizations or ones associated with a specific government or type of threat?
I'm fine with Jane Smith wielding Eligor, as s/he sounds skilled enough to be deemed 'worthy' to wield him.madox ford said:-Snip-
Interesting idea, and the sheet itself looks fine. Your only issue would be finding a wielder, but it looks like that wont be a problem.Terratina. said:Souldrinker/Eligor
The only thing you nee to add here i some kind of limit to the healing ability. Like "If he takes too much damage over X amount of time he will die" or something similar.Dectomax said:Lost and Found
The bio i kind of bare bones a is. From this I guess he lived a fairly normal human life. And what age did his father tell him about hi heritage?ToxicPiranah said:Simon Jones
The ammo thing lacks any kind of reasoning(weird thing to say when magic exists in this world, I know). Saying it's magic energy that's condensed into bullets or something would give me an idea as to how that works. Just a thought.Ultraman950 said:Well, Toxic stole that from me, so I'll get back to you.
Okay. This one doesnt have any flaws sticking out. You're good at the moment.oversizedant said:Tony Marks

These are both fine as is.spudevil said:Mikhail Olkhovsky
The invisible power is the only thing I'm sceptical. So just make that hard to do or on a limiter. The rest is fine.IFS said:Garath Heller
I could not stop laughing at this. This looks like a fun character. Thank you for making my day.The Thinker said:Science
I may have something in mind for this one if you get in. No need to alter anything.William Duff said:Name: Azkar.
You even supplied us with a villain. That's pretty awesome.madox ford said:Jane Smith

There are no problems with it so far. Go ahead and continue with the bio is you're still interested.Mortis Nuncius said:Name: Lt. Rory "Mick" McMillan
Gender: Male
Age: 24
Nation: Ireland
Species: Human
Appearance: 6'2" with short, dark brown hair and blue eyes. Lightly tanned skin, neatly trimmed mustache and goatee with an otherwise clear face, save for the scar running down his right cheek. He has a rather narrow, muscular frame that shows in his face, having a narrow jaw and cheekbones to match. Rory also has a nose that has obviously been broken more than twice in his life. When on the clock, he wears standard combat gear, though when off-duty one can usually find him wearing a rugged, brown leather jacket and a t-shirt, usually displaying artwork of some classic rock band. Also wears dark, faded denim jeans along with fingerless leather gloves and a brown leather flat cap to match his jacket.
Personality: Generally an upbeat person, always been one to joke around and have a good laugh. He's hardly one to take any situation seriously, and that led him to have a rather "active" life throughout basic training. However, when necessity calls for it, he can become cold and calculating.
Division: 3
Skills: Training received from the Special Reconnaissance Regiment, including hand-to-hand combat, infiltration and concealment, long-range engagement, unconventional warfare tactics, and extensive knowledge of firearms' mechanics. He also has developed expert marksmanship earned through several years of experience as well as the knowledge necessary to manufacture his own ammunition.
Power/magic: None
Weapons & Equipment: Bolt-action Noreen ULR rifle built to fire LM-Class .416 caliber rounds effectively over 3,000 yards. DPMS Panther LR-308 AP-4 rifle for medium-range combat - uses ammo clips of mercury-filled anti-personnel and tungsten-core armor-piercing rounds. Also carries a Chiappa Rhino made to fire .460 S&W Magnums for a sidearm, along with a with a 16" AF Combat Smatchet (10" blade). He keeps his signature sniper rifle in a special carrying case on his back, his Panther on a sling over his shoulder, his S&W in a hip-holster on his left side, and his Smatchet sheathed to his left thigh. All of his firearms are built for left-hand firing.
Bio: Rory's life before his military career was fairly uneventful, save for the occasional run-in with the authorities. Though that was never anything major, just mainly him being a nuisance with his pellet gun and shooting the garden gnomes of his neighbors that lived a few blocks down the road from his home. He made it through school, sliding by with less-than-exemplary grades but graduating nonetheless. Having taken a great liking to guns, a trait well-supported by the notoriety he'd gained throughout his neighborhood, and little in terms of goals, he signed up for the British Army and soon found himself being shipped off to basic training.
Rory, much to his own surprise, proved himself to be an exceptional soldier in almost every respect. Where he really shown the brightest, however, was at the firing range. Rory's accuracy was certainly something to write home about, having shown to be at the top of the line with just about every firearm that was handed to the man. He was quickly put under evaluation by recruiters for the SRR and, with swift deliberation, it was concluded that Rory was more than suitable for the Regiment.
From the day he became part of the SRR, Rory became a valuable asset to any assignment he was given. His sharp eyes and sharp reflexes served him and his regiment well as he was part of several successful operations in his career. It was the most recent of which that opened his eyes to the world he never would've thought existed...
I will be finishing up the bio soon, just wanted to hear any criticisms as it is now.
The healing ability is pretty much just the same as a normal human - He can just take a bit more punishment and can recover from more deadly injuries quicker - if he gets beaten up too badly in combat he'll go down just like anyone else.Shadowstar38 said:The only thing you nee to add here i some kind of limit to the healing ability. Ok, I'll add a note that he can only maintain it for a minute or two, and that it becomes more difficult to maintain the more the target of the spell moves.Shadowstar38 said:The invisible power is the only thing I'm sceptical.
