The later Pokemon games. I don't even reach the FIRST Gym battle and I meet the zubats and geodudes? As if I didn't know how drudgingly boring the combat system is, now you try to iterate the frustration?

Red Dead Redemption

i found it dragged on a bit. Mainly because my "mate" blurted out what basically happens

You get to your family and get shot...in the chest...a million times...Cuz ur dumb enuf to get out a revolver and not evans repeater
The point is there is no point fighting them, because they will just keep coming for you and your family, so John sacrifices himself to save them any more trouble.

Anyway, Prototype. I just found it really boring and not at all of what I would expect from a game were you can change you limbs into massive weapons.
i shit myself wen i played prototype. IT.WAS.FUCKING.IMMENSE.
keep going for it. in the end you get a whip and hijack choppers. INDIANA JONES STYLE
I have the whip and can hijack helicopters, its still pretty awful in my opinion.
I'm glad someone on Escapist agrees that Prototype really wasn't that good. Anytime I see that game mentioned people seem to praise it. It wasn't a bad game, but really wasn't that great either. Soon as I forced myself to beat it I got rid of it.

Neverwinter Nights 2. Stopped playing after 20 seconds, unbelievably boring.
And that's it. No more contribution. No probablity of quotation. No. Fucking. Point. Why do I even bother to post at all?
Because it's compulsive.
You have to do it. Because otherwise, you'll be bored. Actually I'm still bored, but atleast I'm doing something.
... maybe I should just set my computer on fire?

Assassins Creed. Wow, I get to pick-pocket people and sit on benches for an hour before getting to the good bits, then I have go do them all over again. Whoopee.
I've discovered that I am very weird in that I didn't find this boring at all, listening to the little pieces of information was interesting, and I did every one of those missions I could find.

OT: Diablo. It shames me that I never even got to the 6[sup]th[/sup] level...

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion - Good good! Between the lack of writing, lack of decent story, lack of decent quests (Dark Brotherhood aside), terrible combat system, terrible leveling system and lack of interesting or unique gear/items or in general any of the elements that make a fantasy RPG fun, good or interesting, it causes me physical pain to have to play that game...

Nice use of spoiler tags.

OT: KotOR. It's so boring, it's painful.

GTA IV, the driving was terrible and the characters just didn't interest me. I stopped playing it before I spent even 30 minutes on the game.

I've had problems with so many games, but I can't really remember all right now.
Assassins Creed however is one game I had problems getting into. First there was the boring cutscenes in the start that couldn't be skipped, then the first mission which was pretty boring, though OK. Then I had to be bored for a good while before I decided to turn off the game and play something else.

Crackdown 2, i mean, all you had to do to finish the "story" was to complete the same 2 missions over again x10.

I'm glad i never bought the first game, because i would've wasted 40 British Pounds on nothing.

*Flame shield*

Prince of Persia:Sands of Time. Combat is too boring for, and the characters aren't really kicking in.

I think its been mentioned already but for me it was Borderlands. Loved to play the game, but the story seemed so token; which is a shame because I loved the opening. Rest of the story doesn't really live up to it though.

Most prominently Oblivion, I enjoyed it for a while but it just got boring. I barely started the main quests.
Also Red dead.

pokemon.

gameplay was great!
but the story was shite.

I haven't played diamond/pearl so I don't know about them.
neither have I played those pokemon dungeon games. so I won't judge those....yet.
The Pokemon dungeon games have a surprisngly good plot. I mean it's not really that good by most game standards, but it's much more detailed than the Pokemon formula and has more characters.

Still, it's not really a great campaign.

OP:
Probably something like Tomb Raider games? I bought one and I just got so bored, I love those exploration games, don't get me wrong. I just couldn't do it.

Assassins Creed 2. I tried playing it twice and almost always fall asleep. Only other game that has ever done that to me is Disgaea... but because i was playing it for about 10 hours straight and forgot to NOT fall asleep.

Dragon Age... But I suspect its because I just played Mass Effect, which I loved beyond words.
