Assassin's creed 1 and 2. I just couldn't get into them. Even after the interesting stuff started happening, I just found it extraordinarily boring.

Actually, I'm thinking of Super Smash Bros Brawl, though if anyone bought that to play by themselves...

Fallout 2. /flamesheild

Admittedly this is most likely my own fault. I haven't really followed the story a lot and I'm not a high level. I've gotten past Vault City and I'm just about to go to Vault 15 but I can't. I just keep on hitting encounters and eventually dying. Then I get bored of it, go back to New Reno and wander.

Eventually I'll get into the story and finish it but not yet.

Prince of Persia:Sands of Time. Combat is too boring for, and the characters aren't really kicking in.
Wow, you are the first one to mention this game! And I agree with you actually, I found WW a whole lot better than SoT (except in story for the most part).

OT: Sand of Time, every RPG (Except System Shock 2 and Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines), every point and click adventure game (with the notable exception of the Sam and Max series), Grand Theft Auto Sand Andreas (which is weird, I loved VC and GTAIII), Doom 3 and Deus Ex.
Maybe I have my standards too high for games, or maybe I just have a different way to have fun.

Final Fantasy 8. Fucking worst in the series, in my eyes.

Magic Drawing was tedious, the card game was stupid and the characters were either dull or annoying.

I'll probally get flamed for this but fallout 3.

I can understand that it's a war-torn city with very few people in it, but did you have to prove your point so well? It felt so empty and the lack of any colour also added to this. I could not get into this game, so I let my friend borrow it. Forever.

Neverwinter Nights 2. Stopped playing after 20 seconds, unbelievably boring.
And that's it. No more contribution. No probablity of quotation. No. Fucking. Point. Why do I even bother to post at all?
Because it's compulsive.
You have to do it. Because otherwise, you'll be bored. Actually I'm still bored, but atleast I'm doing something.
... maybe I should just set my computer on fire?
I'm quoting you just to throw you for a loop. You're welcome.
*puts nerf gun to head and pulls the trigger* Huh.
Why, thank you good sir.

Most recently? FF XIII. So...boring...no...story...annoying...characters...

*zzzz*

I'm sure it gets better the longer you play it (most games like that tend to), but there are only so many hours of boredom I'm prepared to chip through to get to the 'good' parts. For how boring the first few hours of FF XIII are, the second half had better be INCREDIBLE. But I'll never find out. Because I just can't stand to play any more. =S

StarCraft2. I had to force myself to finish it. The story was below average, missions weren't really challenging and most of them was pretty much built around mass producing the unit you receive that mission.
Agreed, but the last part is for a reason. It's to help you use them in Multiplayer and beyond!
The story was a bit dull, Raynor has the most boring personality. No development at all...
I just finished it and have to say, the last mission wasn't that hard. If you know what to do, it's easy.

So I'll have to swallow a big pill and say Starcraft II as well. Dawn of War II was fun though, even though I disliked the game.

GTA IV, the driving was terrible and the characters just didn't interest me. I stopped playing it before I spent even 30 minutes on the game.
Thought the driving was one of the more interesting aspects of an otherwise dull game, to be honest. You really have to put some thought in to it, a change from the usual press R2 to not be stopped.

Final Fantasy 13. Someones gonna quote this and bash me but it was such a soap opera, the writing had really good parts but it also had really bad parts. It also disconnected me from the game too many times to make me feel like I was playing it. I felt like I was playing a bit and then watching a lot of cutscenes, and that was the entire game. I would look at the map and when I saw certain areas I just knew I was gonna hit a mini cutscene or something. The cutscenes looked great and they weren't all bland but they were just too numerous as well.

Most Bioware games (Excluding Baldur's Gate 2...god's gift to the RPG genre)
Metro 2033...but the hectic, cramped, and at times disturbing combat made up for it.
ANY MMORPG...sweet you have a quest! Blah blah blah blah *Accept*.

Dragon Age comes to mind. The plot and premise were awesome, but actually slogging through to recruit the various factions and whatever was just so damned draining.
Y'know... I thought the same thing until my second playthrough, where I actually started enjoying it. But still, it can be extremely difficult to get through. Thank god you can skip the dialogue.

And I still can't get into Mass Effect...

Resident Evil 5, right now. I don't know why I tried to get into it, 4 was supposed to be the best in the series and I couldn't get into that either. Running out of ammo frequently and having to use your knife isn't survival horror, it isn't action adventure, it's just irritating.
You ran out of ammo in 4 too? How did that happen? How often do you miss? I never ran out of ammo. The worst that would happen is when I'd burn all my shotgun shells. I'd just have to make due with me TMP, pistol, and grenades (which is perfectly fine). My shotgun would be back in action the next time I need it. Having pistol ammo just means I use bigger guns for now, and that's not bad at all.
Yep. Around the same time a guy with a chainsaw and his village came at me. I didn't even finish the fight, standing on a narrow path and slashing gets boring pretty quickly.

its inly boring if the zombies dont have an amusing death ragdoll physics or death sequence from a knife...
