--during amy's scream--
Jack woke with a start at the scream. He quickly put on pants and grabbed his Winchester rifle running outside. Once outside he figured out what had happened he noticed Jeff raise a rock at Amy and Jon moving in the way. Knowing Jeff and who he is Jack started to work his way over to him to calm him down.
Amy?s eyes blazed at the arrogant man. His words fell on deaf ears as Jon stepped between them, his hands raised. Words, a flash of spit, and the man was advancing again.
In a swift, practiced movement, Amy drew the rarely-used blade from between her breasts. Drawing her knee up into the man?s groin, she pressed the flat of the blade against Jeff?s neck.
?A? whore?? She muttered, her green eyes ablaze with fury. ?You would dare sully my honor?!? She pressed harder, the blade drawing blood. ?You bastard. I?ll be taking over the bar, oh, don?t you worry about that.?
A grin crossed her face as she glimpsed the drop of red beneath her blade. ?If I were you, I?d be more concerned with my own fate.? Drawing her face in close to his, close enough for him to feel her angry breath against his cheek, she whispered into his ear ?Do you want to meet God??
As Amy's knee pressed into Jeff's groin he started rapidly coughing. He somehow managed to spit out the words "Looking for a new dick since Ace is dead?" and she pressed the sharp steel up into his neck.
As the blade pushed deeper and deeper in blood starter to trickle down the blade and onto the floor. Struggling he heard her ask if he was ready to meet god. Staring into her green eyes he spat blood on her face and muttered, "Sorry babe. I wont be meeting him yet". Struggling he groaned as he managed to swing his right arm, containing the rock, into Amy's head.
As she staggered off of him, Jeff rubbed his neck and started to charge back towards her.
Amy was sent reeling as the stone connected with her skull. Spots erupted before her eyes as she staggered backwards, clenching her fist desperately around her knife. She felt her back slam against the bar counter. As her vision cleared, she saw Jon standing dumbfounded as Jeff approached, his weapon wielded menacingly.
She shook the last of the spots from her eyes. ?You filthy bastard!? She spat at him, turning sideways to present as little of a target as possible. She held her knife in her right hand, facing towards him in a mock interpretation of a fencer she had seen at a fair during her childhood.
Amy screamed ?Help! Help!! Murderer!? As she dove forward, angling her blade towards Jeff?s chest, she brought her left hand up in a defensive gesture. She continued screaming, hoping someone would burst through the door. ?Dammit, Ace! You had to leave the guns in your safe, didn?t you?!?
John Bolted out of the stable. He qucikly looked for the sheriff's office when all he could hear was Help! Help! Murder! The sound came from the bar. "Fantastic" said John. He took out his colt and made a dash for the Bar.
John came to the door and bashed them open. He saw 2 men and the barmaid. one was sitting back in horror while the other was clutching a stone and was attacking the barmaid, who was wielding a knife. John raised his pistol and fired a warning shot right past the attackers ear.
Our sheriff is asleep so i figured i thought i sould come in. also i started making the post before i saw yours
As Jeff heard the bullet he turned towards the man. "What the fuck do you want Romeo? This doesn't concern you!" Jeff screamed in rage as he stared into Amy's eyes. Licking his lips Jeff threw the stone at Amy's hands. Due to the impact she dropped the knife and Jeff screamed in fury as he charged her. He came closer and closer to her until finally his body smashed into hers and they flew over the counter top and onto the other side.
John wasent surprised by what the man did. By now he was use to it. He jumped over the counter and grab a bottle. John then smashed the bottle over the attacker's head. The attacker hardly seemed phased. instead he just got up and forced John over the counter. John quickly got up and aimed his colt right at the man. Before he could get a shot off the man tackled John and knocked the gun from his hand. John went flying throught the air and ended up crashing through a table. John forced the man off him and the two began fistfighting.
John looked over to the passive priest and yelled "You know anytime you wanna help is fine by me!"
Diving back over the counter, Amy picked up her knife, bloodlust blazing in her eyes. She snuck behind Jeff, her eyes flashing dangerously. She felt her hand tremble as she drew nearer the two men, still engaged in fisticuffs.
Nodding towards John, Amy dove forward, bowling Jeff forward at the feet of his assailant. Sitting on his shoulderblades, Amy pulled his head up, revealing his tender neck. Placing the knife against Jeff's throat, she screamed, spittle flying from her lips "Dammit, Jeff! If you move an inch I will slice your God-forsaken throat!"
She nodded John towards his gun, keeping her knife pressed firmly against Jeff's throat.
If Jeff moves, she will slit his throat. AUTO REACTION
Things were getting out off hand quickly, Edward would need to restore peace before things got out of hand.
Aiming his revolver towards the air he fired once 'BANG'. The sound echoed thoughout the town.
"Okay guys settle down we wont get anywhere with you guys fighting now calm down and who the hell is the sherriff around here anyways?"
Looking down at the man known as Ace he shook his head.
"Look lady I dont know who you are and whats going on but whoever this Ace man was I don't think he would want you to do all this so calm the hell down."
His revolver was now aimed at the ground his other hand inside his trench coat fingering his now useless clockwork gun.
"Calm down? Calm down?! This man just tried to kill me, and you're telling me to calm down?!"
Adrenaline pumping through her veins, Amy took a deep breath. Her breath came in short, deep gasps as she held the knife against the man's throat. "Jeff..." she said solemnly, lessening the pressure of her blade on Jeff's throat. "I don't want to do this. Please don't resist... once the sheriff gets here, I swear to let you go without harming you."
"Please, God... enough blood has been shed since the sun rose last..."
Dastardos wanted me to inform everyone to NOT interfere with the situation as it lies right now. He needs to make a post, but cannot as he is confined to his iPod internet right now. Post will be up soon. Feel free to interact amongst yourselves, just do NOT change the situation. He has something big planned, the smarmy devil.
Cursing to himself Edward quickly reloaded his revolver with a single bullet.
"Pfft you just cant argue with a lady when she gets like that" He said quietly to himself.
On the bright side as long as everyone didn't do anything stupid everything would be fine, And where was that goddamn Sheriff he asked for?
Either way everything was fine if somewhat unstable. But....
"What if the outsiders are around? This would'nt do any good."
With that he started looking and scanning for these 'Outsiders'
He trusted that the barmaid would'nt do anything as long as no else did but a knife to a mans throat was still a knife to a mans throat. But then again someone had to keep an eye out for the outsiders.
As Amy asked him to wait for the sheriff and she would let him go, so many thoughts raced through Jeff's head. He realized in reality he had two choices. Jail, or attempting to resit and most likely getting his neck slit. As he lay there thinking he finally asked Amy one question. "If I stay and wait... Will you be pressing charges on me to the sheriff?"
Amy chuckled, hovering the blade at the same point it was before. "Charges? You only attempted to kill me in my own homestead." She glanced at the newcomer, wielding that pistol awfully happily.
"I won't press charges as long as you keep your filthy arse out of my bar from now on. Ace wouldn't appreciate someone who attacks ladies."
Chuckling a little, she added "Oh, and take back some of those unfriendly comments you spouted. Then we'll be all tea and roses."
A look of disappointment shot onto Jeff's face as he asked one last question. "I'm sorry for what happened. I over reacted and lost my temper. I agree to your conditions but... Can you do one thing for me? Could I please have one drink? Hell you could even lock me up for the night but please just one drink... Please..."
Hearing the man's plea, Jon stepped forward.
"I think he truly is sorry. You might as well give him a final drink before you ban him."
Seeing their surprised faces, he continued "That's what Christianity is all about: unexpected kindness. If you only give what people give to you, you're no better than a banker."
Can I make people aware that Sheriff Drummond has been present and witnessing all of the above events, and there will be repercussions. Please check before assuming he's not around just because I haven't posted this page - being on GMT can be an issue...
Proper post to come shortly, once I've figured out what's happened!
This post occurs straight after my previous post and should hopefully allow everything that?s happened since to occur without a hitch!
Dastardos ? I?ve made a few assumptions to do with the Doc NPC ? hope it fits.
"Damn those natives!"
Drummond turned on his heels and made his way slowly through the centre of the town down to the Medicine Shop to find the Doc.
The more people that see that corpse, the more spooked that they?re gonna get. Doc?ll be able to deal with it. He?s had a hell of a day?
As he made his through town, a sobbing woman rushed passed him heading towards the church, where a light still seemed to shine.
I don?t blame her ? maybe God is the only one who can help us?
Drummond reached the door of the medicine shop and hammered on the front door. He stopped only when a candle light approached the door, allowing Doc to open the door to him.
?Sorry to disturb you at this hour, Doctor, but I need your help. Can I come in??
It took a few minutes to explain the situation to Doc ? how Barkeep Schuyler was brutally murdered and his scalped corpse was dumped outside his own bar ? during which Drummond thought he?d heard something. It sounded like a woman?s shout, but distant and muffled.
Probably nothing, he pondered, a poor girl has gone to see what the fuss is about and got the shock of her life?
?So Doc, if you can get that body off the street as soon as you can, that?d be??
A far-off shot rang out and Drummond jumped straight to his feet.
?Did you hear that? This town?s gone crazy!?
He threw back the door and stepped out into the night air. There was still a crowd outside the tavern and a few shapes silhouetted in the lamps of the tavern. Frowning, Drummond turned himself towards the bar and began the walk back up-town. He begrudgingly checked his guns were ready and loaded; he was going to keep the peace the old fashioned way.
As a second shot reverberated around town, he picked out the shape of the shooter in the doorway of the tavern. Shaking his head, he increased his pace and made a bee-line straight for the bar-room door.
For those in the tavern, all they heard was a crash as the door was flung open, followed by the click of Drummond cocking the pistol in his right hand.
?Now which one of you varmits is gonna tell me what?s going on here??
He stared down the myriad of faces, waiting for someone to make the first move?
"Now which one of you varmits is gonna tell me what's going on here?"
Jon looked up and saw the Sheriff in the doorway, pistol drawn.
"Everything's under control, John. Jeff was just a bit drunk, and what with Ace's death, and them being friends, I think it was just too much for him. He got kinda violent, and we had to hold him down, but he's apologised, and I'm sure he didn't have no criminal intent. And I'm not sure, but I think someone's gun went off in the confusion, but no harm done"
Emu, GenHellSpawn given up on this RP, so I'm gonna be the preist. Therefore, it would be a good idea if you could violently disagree with me, and then we can have a basis to start arguing on. Sound good?
"Jon, this isn't your business, and you know it." Amy said, prickled by the man's arrogance in speaking for her.
"Drunk? Don't make up excuses for him. Some man of God you are, lying through your teeth." Turning to the sheriff, Amy scoffed. "Sheriff, I won't be pressing charges, but this man did assault me. Toss him the cell for the night after I give him his drink."
Amy stood, pulling her blade away from Jeff's neck. Placing it on the bar counter, she began pouring a set of glasses. "And I expect compensation for the damage done to my roof by Mr. Edward here."
