Although I'd prefer to move to morning (you're probably more likely to find dead bodies in the light) I'm prepared to keep on with the night phase - I'll wake Drummond up again unless anyone fancies waking him when something interesting gets found...

I think that getting to morning would be acceptable, but whatever anyone thinks, I will agree with.

How could I keep a lady waiting like that? Anyway, while its still night-time...

"I'm not sure what the Father thinks, he keeps rather quiet about it, but I do have some plans myself. I feel it's madness to just settle down and wait for the raiders to strike. We must move against them, before they can strike!"
He was about to continue when Amy gasped, and Jon looked round to see a shape on the ground.
"Is that a.." began Amy, but she fell silent
"I don't know. Let's go find out"
They hurry over to the dead body

My plan was to find the horses in the morning but seeing as ppl are still active at night time I was waiting on a cue for daybreak. Oh well. Now I'll post when everyone is done with their night dealings to see what happens

Checking they body, it seemed that this was not just a man who had passed out, nor had he been robbed. His pockets were still full, and his scalp had been taken, and was laying nearby.
"This is the Injuns' work!" said Jon, both angry and sad. He said a quick prayer, then turned to Amy, "Do you recognise the poor man?"

John was running out of ideas to keep busy. He thought to himself. Lets see the Bar is closed,I still have three hours until the meeting, and i have barely any money. Maybe the Sheriff has a job I could do for him. John began walking to the sheriffs office but accidently entered the stables. John opened the door "Hello sheriff". John could not see a thing. He moved forward and tripped over something. He could hear the buzzing of flys and smell a foul stench. He found a lamp. he lit and saw a horrible sight. All the horses in the stables were dead.

Amy stayed silent, her bright green eyes staring at the headless corpse. She took a few meager steps forward, soon holding tightly onto Jon's shoulder. She bit her lip and looked at the dead man's clothes.

She immediately burst into tears. "Ace!" She wailed, burying her face into Jon's shoulder, her quickly flowing tears wetting his shirt. "Jon, it's Ace! They've killed Ace!"

The man was gone by now most likely using his powers one way or another but it was'nt any of Edwards concern as long as he got paid. Standing by the well everything seemed so peacful, when all of a sudden that fragile wall was shattered, A peircing scream was heard near the bar. Cocking his clockwork pistol only to break the gear itself, cursing he readied his revolver instead. Jumping out of the corner of the wall with his gun he yelled. "OKAY WHATS GOING ON HERE?!"
In front of him a dead man.... The barkeep? How did this happen? His new boss? No there was no profit to be had killing him. The religous man whom he fought with? No he seemed to passive for that. It must've been outsiders. Next to him was the barmaid he had talked to earlier that day, everyone there just looked at Edward and his gun out and pointing.
Cursing to himself he put it away.
"Alright we need to get the sherriff on this and find what happened." he told them.
Hopfully telling them to get the authorities would snuff out any suspisions of him being assosiated with anything or anyone bad.

"OKAY WHATS GOING ON HERE?!"

A man had leapt round the corner, holding a revolver. He looked round in shock, then sheathed the gun and strode up to Jon and Amy
"Alright we need to get the sheriff on this and find what happened."

Jon turned to him. "Who are you, and what are you doing running around with a gun? No matter, you're right, the sheriff needs to know. Go tell him Ace is dead."

Amy was still clutching Jon's shoulder, and weeping freely, so he put his arm round her. "Hush now. You need not fear for him. True, he has left us, but he was a good man, and he will have gone to the grace of God"

What are we going to do for a barkeep now?

"OKAY WHAT'S GOING ON HERE?!"

The shout echoed out across the centre of town. As the noise was processed through his brain, Sheriff Drummond slowly opened his blood-shot eyes. He'd obviously dozed off - the pressures of office and old Jenkins' death must have got to him.
As his eyes adjusted to the low light, he made out a few figures standing in a huddle outside the tavern. Drummond pushed himself to his feet, checked his shooters and slowly waddled his way over to the group.
"Right then, what is going on here?"
His gaze followed the eyes of the assembled crowd down to the scalped corpse of Barkeep Schuyler.
"Good Lord..." he whispered to himself. "Right, get Doc out here, get Ace's body off the street, God rest his soul."
He looked down again at Schuyler's corpse and spotted a scrap of paper thrust into a jacket pocket. He bent down and grabbed the note and read it to the crowd;
Mre will die if we no recieve payment. We be n contact
"Damn those natives!"

As the screams echoed around the town, citizens started to leave their place of rest to see what was causing so much noise at the late hour. Most of them sat like dogs on their porches but two, Jeff and Kelli, wandered out to see. As they got closer they could smell the stench. The flys buzzing around the bodies and the dried blood painted on the dirt. Kelli broke down into tears and clutched the crucifix hanging on her neck and sprinted off towards the church. Jeff then decided to raise the obvious question on everyones mind. "Amy... I know its soon but-" He mumbled as if the words pained him as they left his mouth, "Will you be taking over the bar now?"

Kelli then burst into the church, still sobbing, and ran to find the father to explain what just happened.

"The bar...?" Amy murmured, her eyes bloodshot from tears. She sniffled, wiping her tears with her sleeve. Turning to the well-known, man, she exploded.

"You're worried about the bar?!" She screamed, throwing her fists down in rage. "A man just died, and you're more worried about getting smashed!" She stepped forward, and slapped the man with the back of her hand. Biting her lip, she said bitterly "God damn you."

With that, she took one last glance at Ace's body, stifled a fresh batch of tears, and entered through the saloon doors.

A faint clank was heard as the lock slid home.

Yes, she will be taking over, but of course she hasn't gotten over the grief yet.

Jon looked at the man who had spoken
"I do not mean offence, but that was a foolish thing to say. You would do well to keep better things in mind than getting drunk."
Looking up, he saw the Father was arriving, "Should I give Ace his last rights, Father, or do you want to? I know you knew him well. If you will, I will see if I can offer Amy the peace of God. She seems like she needs consoling.."

He walked round the the back door and knocked quietly.
"Amy? Do you want to talk?"

As the hand smashed against Jeff's face he suddenly became very angry. His cheek started to turn a bright red, and his heart filled with rage. Bending over he picked up a stone and stormed off towards the bar. As he reached the door he slammed it open and stared at the two people.

Jeff started laughing and look at Amy. "I didn't ask for my desire to get smashed you dirty whore. I asked because if you haven't noticed this town is built off of the tension between the bar and the church. A barkeep dead leaves a hole in this very important void. I asked because this town needs someone to look to and NOT all of us want to follow this fagot" He said as he glared at Jon.

As Jeff moved closer to Amy he gripped the stone even tighter. "And you, you dirty little whore, accuse me of only being concerned about myself. Only being concerned with getting stone? Ha. I laugh at you, you whore. Just because your fuck buddy was scalped doesn't give you the right to put your dirty, vermin, hands on my pure face!" And he started to run towards Amy in an attempt to smash the stone into her face.

As I have said before DO NOT take control of user controlled characters. When GenHellspawn want's his priest to go to the scene of the crime GenHellspawn will post that. Please lets stop the controlling of other characters.

And on the note of my post. That's right... I went there...

As Jeff stepped in to attack Amy, Jon moved between them
"Put that down, now." His voice carried far more menace than Jeff expected, thinking Jon to be just a pathetic preist

OCC: no time now, I'll deal with Jeff soon
