Point 1. Cut down on the hyperbole. Rather then helping your point it makes you look immature and close minded

Anyway, I agree with the sentiment that the port itself is really bad. Its not the worst PC port Ive seen but its still pretty bad.

That said, we pretty much knew this was coming when the petition went through and they were going to put it on games for windows live. You have to remember fromsoft does not have a long history of releasing games for the PC. In fact Im having a hard time remembering any title that was PC exclusive, let alone other Ports they've done. Thats saying something for a company that has existed since, at the very least, I was a teenager (the first game I recall playing by them was Armored Core: Project Phantasma which came out around 1998).

Im unsure what your problem is with the camera though. It worked fine in the XBOX 360 version of the game and I havnt run into any problems with it in the PC version. Can you elaborate without the hyperbole?

I fail to understand users arguments of flightstick, gamepads for flight simulators and racing games, where such devices work better. This is a 3rd person RPG, and as such no different than The Witcher 2, which handles this very well, just like any other game in the genre. It is also a moot point to say it was designed for controller - any game ported from console to PC is, just like vice versa. That doesn't mean it can't be done properly.

Whether people are more used to one device than the other two, is besides the point, and just moves the debate to a PC vs Console one. This shouldn't be better with a controller, and is poorly executed, but hopefully also quickly fixed by the community, or the developer.

The best tip I can give people is decreasing the dpi of the mouse to say 800.

Atmosphere, Combat, Graphics were decent (which I dont honestly care about).
Uh...last time I checked that was what made Dark Souls good. That's what I liked about it anyway, the atmosphere and combat piggybacking off of each other to create a dark oppressive world.

EDIT: I can't be the only one getting a little tired of people saying things like "oh look how cute, these people are defending a shitty port" It really rubs me the wrong way. I hate to break it to you, but people don't have to automatically agree with you when it comes to criticisms, and people will argue them with you. That's kind of the point of forums.
I think you misunderstood his post. He meant that only graphics weren't so important, while thinking the atmosphere and combat were the good parts with no negatives in themselves.

Your edit sounds a bit hypocritical, though.

Don't think that anyone has done other than argue for the point that it was a bad port. Some just feel it is a good idea just to purchase a controller like it was part of game design for PC, and furthermore feel like it makes it excusable that they announced they were not competent in PC porting - and therefore PC owners shouldn't complain that a game made for PC doesn't make very good use of the primary tools of the PC. I only find it logical to complain about it - just like it could be if it was the other way around, and console owners had sluggish controls with a controller, due to a bad port.
