It's the site's rules, and even if they are superficial, who cares. A little word of advice: If you don't like it, stay off the site. No one is forcing you to use it.

Good morning blues said:
It's a stupid idea for a site in the first place. Who is going to be enough of a stuck-up prick to join a dating web site exclusively for "beautiful people" and yet not too stuck-up to use internet dating services? I would imagine few.

If they want to expel all the fat people, that's their right, but it's still pretty moronic. That's an awful lot of potential revenue.
Rich business people. Online dating isn't as out there as it used to be. Many people use these sites, not because they can't get someone outside, but because they don't have TIME to do so.

Like I said before, the people who were kicked out were MEMBERS in the first place. So the "superficial assholes" who voted them out (or kicked them out, whatever), are the same as the ones who got kicked out, except smarter if they didn't post pics of themselves being fat.

Personally, I'm all for this site. Just like I'm sure there is one for Fat people, black people, white people, asians, gays, straights, transexuals, the list goes on. People want what they want, and these sites just provide that.

Don't like it, don't use it.

Next to that duck trying to walk on ice that I saw earlier, this is the funniest thing I've seen today. So let's get this straight: a dating site, a place where losers go to try and meet people because they are socially backward in the real world is expelling people for putting on that winter weight? Big. Fucking. Deal.

If someone seriously thinks they can find happiness by going on a site that calls itself beautifulpeople.com then not only are they just as shallow as the people that run it but are also probably missing a vital part of their brain. And are now too fat to be on it anyway.

Sometimes I'm certain that we're regressing as a species... what happened to good old fashioned real dating?

If they did the legal thing and gave full refunds they're probably out of business. So in the words of MagnoliaFan, "..fuck them up their stupid asses."

I laughed just by seeing the title.

BeautifulPeople.com?

They win the award for being the most smug people on the planet.

poor people. Well are the people on the sight even beautiful or are they soulless people who have had plastic surgery so many times that their outside resembles their inside FAKE!

Well, yeah--that's the point of the site. It has really high standards. Isn't that the one where you have to apply to even be accepted? So it makes sense.

Hope their happy with their appearances, because odds are that it won't last. I hope they have something else in their lives once their looks start to go.

On second thought, after that dick move, I kinda hope they don't.

Huh. Why would "beautiful people" need an online dating service?

Regardless, it's their site, their rules. It's mean, hateful, shallow, and all sorts of vile, but they have every right to do it.

I do wonder, however, what sets the standard? It's not like Irishsingles.com, or three-eyedsingles.com, or whatever -- the standard is plain and objective. Beauty, on the other hand, is a subjective thing. If it were skinnysingles.com, then I'd understand, but beautifulsingles.com is rather vague.

Well I mean if the POINT of the site is a higher standard of physical appearance than your average dating site, it would only make sense that they would try to stick to that. I mean, it's their whole handle isn't it? Sure, it may be shallow and superficial, but if you plan on using a site called "beautifulpeople.com" you best not jiggle your way in there with your fudgerolls and such.
