You've obviously never played Dead Space before. On hard or impossible, you better be prepared to rip the hair out of your head due to frustration from dying so often. Doing it without guns would be impossible.Unless its really hard to kill shit then maybe.

And was THAT really necessary? Damn Escapist, sometimes I wonder...Azaraxzealot said:but ill let my brother buy it first since he's into corporate cash-ins (Cash-In of Duty anyone?).
I haven't played the game, so I don't know if it is good or not, but one thing I found interesting about their review is that they give it a 2.0 total after giving gameplay 3.0, lasting appeal 3.0, presentation 6.0 sound 2.0 and graphics 1.0. Seems to imply that graphics are more important than gameplay, lasting appeal and presentation combined.warm slurm said:No, IGN are just terrible. Just look at this crap: http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/articles/107/1070909p1.htmlbeliever258 said:Bullshit. They might get paid to favor some games over others, but for the most part their reporting seems to be spot on. It's the community that comments on most of their stories that's full of fucktards.
You just don't like the popular websites, do you? IGN vs. Gamespot, it's just like PS3 vs. 360, completely stupid arguments.
OP: What does it matter if it's survival horror or a cover-based shooter? A fun game is a fun game, no matter what genre it's shoehorned into, and it was touted to be a scary game in the first place. Whether it is or not doesn't really matter. Is it fun? Maybe. That's the IGN reviewer's (possibly paid for) opinion.
When did you have a chance to play it, by the way?
Too many people here have not travelled first by carriage and then by boat.SirBryghtside said:Finally someone gets where it's fromDavid Bray said:SirBryghtside said:Epic avatar dude.![]()
Naw it ain't worth the paper let alone the ink. Not only that but to get the review you would have to go to their site giving them 1 more hit. They should not be encouraged.JourneyThroughHell said:Well, great. This doesn't impact my expectations for the game until I see the general consensus and I don't really trust IGN, but their scores are generally fairly predictable.
So, yeah, we could have a standout title on our hands. We could not.

I don't care if IGNs opinion agrees with mine, I will never use their reviews for anything more than...oh wait. It's the internet. I can't use them in the toilet.
