Wow, I forgot about this show. I'll be sure to watch it when season two starts.
I had a few problems with the winners... like the Vikings losing, but I really enjoyed seeing those weapons tested.

As for those two, I vote for Alexander.

My main issue with this show is that it's not in any way scientific. They'll test weapons that are in the same category in completely different ways. Weapon A will be tested by hitting a ballistics gel head with it. Weapon B will be tested by seeing if it can cut through a dead cow. How can they hope to get accurate data from this?
You know, you're right.

Like with Spetznaz vs. Green Beret, the grenades were tested in completely different ways. Spetznaz; it was in a washing machine: Green Beret; they put it in an inclosed space with an open ceiling and some dead pigs. How does that prove anything?

Oh, awesome, I love that show! Sure, some parts are annoying, but the weapon testing makes me have special time.

I cant stand this show, the systems they use to determine everything seems way too arbitrary.

There is one thing that greatly bothers me about that show: The constant repeating of everything.
Half the show is showing things they showed 5 minutes earlier.
After every test they redo their summary and the same clip is showed over and over again.

And the constant boasting. HI-TECH GEAR, STOPPING POWER, SKILL, blahblahblah.
That would not be so bad if they weren't repeating that over and over again too.

The few minutes they're punching and striking at dummies WITH LIFE-LIKE DENSITY is very entertaining, however.
haha, i agree. Every episode it seems this happens,
Announcer: "Team A does something amazing! but Team B isn't very impressed"

or

Team A: "Thats your dead warrior right there!"
Team B: "Except in real life we would be moving/wearing armour"

and when the simulation is done, the losing team always says something like:
"Ya we lost in the simulation, but in real life we would have won because of _______."

the show is way too flawed, they dont cover all the bases in testing, the CLOSEST I have seen them get to a full test might be the spetznaz episode.

the show is stupid theres no way a computer program can tell how a fight would turn out, sure you can input the data of the weapons and shit but you can't input the actual fighters themselfs

That show was such bullshit, every time, the white guy or the americans won, EVERY TIME.

The "doctor" that they had just sat there and said, "Yea, ya know theres no way of living thru this!" as he stares at a dummy with a sword through it's head. That guy was fuckin useless.

That combined with the god-awful voice over from the 300 guy, everything about the show was biased and retardedly simplified.

For instance, when they were doing the army ranger v. spetsnaz (spelling issues) episode, they compared the shovel axe thing, with the ballistics knife, a knife that can fire it's blade. they covered the axe like normal, it sucked, and then they covered the knife, which consisted of basicly saying "yea thats a one shot item, totally sucks if u miss" and completely ignoring damage done, and the fact that YOU CAN STILL STAB SHIT WITH IT.

fuck that show and everything it does.

i'll only watch if they do ninja v. pirate.

EDIT: alright, watched that one on youtube, the speznatz won, i take back the americans always winning thing, but the show is still retarded.

Although I personally had issues with some of the winners from season one, I like this show. Its fun watching them test the weapons. So I was glad there is a second season, I was wondering if there was gonna be one.
This is how I feel about it as well, still I'm glad to see it's coming back for another round. My only wish is that they tune down on the damn trashing talking sometimes, it does get a little annoying after a while.

Yes!!! A return of deadlist warrior, and the best part, the genarinc ass forest that apparently has all warriors ever created. I always imagined the pirate was on land because he just finished looting the ninja's decaying corpse.
I still can't believe they didn't do a pirate vs ninja episode even as a joke! I mean... the chance to do that was staring them right in the face and they didn't do it. I use to joke about how it was like a bad plot from a rejected Doctor Who episode, aliens sticking random warriors into a forest and watching them kill one another for kicks.

I really like this show. Mainly because i get to see how damage was done with weapons ( instead of seeing the trimmed down versions that most documentaries or history shows resort to to save budget.) Yea i know its mostly crap, but entertaining.

The trash talk does get annoying. They could spend more time talking about weapons but they spend the time showing the crap arguments between teams.

Team A: You see that, instant kill
Team B: Yea, well, we wont stand still

Thats not the point.

The biggest problem is repition. Do the test, look at the dummy/test target, show the test in slow mo once/ twice if its really gruesome, move on.

Hey the game is out!

"Spike's Deadliest Warrior has finally fought its way onto your iPhone and iPod Touch!

Deadliest Warrior: Defend and Conquer has improved upon the best in tower defense gaming. With three Campaigns and all your favorite warriors to choose from, Defend and Conquer utilizes the actual battle data from Spike's hit series, and now it's up to YOU to decide which warriors can defeat a charging enemy.

The game allows Deadliest Warrior fans to be the first to decide how battles can be won against all new Season 2 enemies including the Huns, the Mongols, and more! Also enhancing your tower defense experience, Defend and Conquer features a mobile "Hero" unit for each warrior class available in each campaign.

Your hero not only makes your other warriors more effective when he is fighting in close proximity to them, but he features a rechargeable "super attack" to fight back the onslaught of foes?just when you need it most.

You'll also be able to post all your achievements and progress via Facebook connect as you race your friends to truly become the Deadliest Warrior! New campaigns and warriors will be added down the road, so stay tuned for more from Defend and Conquer and Season 2 of Deadliest Warrior."

http://www.spike.com/blog/deadliest-warrior/93450

Let's test how accurate this "Data" really is. I live in Sweden however so I won't be able to test this out until it's released here...

I am very glad that we'll get to see the "Goddamn Mongolians" this season though! :D

That hand-mace and the Dao looking swords look awesome! Could it be that Sun Tsu is going to go up against someone in a 1-on-1 against someone else?

Only a month left til the premier! :D

Atila fought more in battle and probably had some awesomer weapons. I'd like for Alexander to win, but I just don't think he will.
