For the record: BEST SHOW EVER.

On the topic? I am rooting for Alexander, but my gut says Atilla due to horsemanship, better weaponry, and he will probably have a bow. In shows past, we have seen archery decide the battles decisively.

I wanna see 13-14th century German Landsknecht (I know I spelled it funny) go up against any comparably armoured infantry. Since they typically wielded 5.5-6' greatswords, they'd wait for their opponent to chose to defend either their head or their feet, and remove the other.

I love that show, if only for the weapons testing and final fights.

It would also make a sick fighting game, but that's besides the point.

OT: Eh, I'll say Attila.

I've read some articles about the game and it's received only positive reviews so far. It will be out around the same time that the show starts to air this year. If you can't wait that long then there is the Iphone/Ipod game that you can buy via the APP store.

Also, in case you missed it earlier, here are the match-ups for this season:

SWAT vs. GSG-9

Attila the Hun vs. Alexander the Great

Aztec Jaguar vs. Zande Warrior

Jesse James Gang vs. Al Capone Gang

Persian Immortal vs. Celt

Roman Centurion vs. India's Rajput Warrior

Somali Pirate vs. Medellin Cartel

Nazi SS vs. Viet Cong

KGB vs. CIA

Vlad the Impaler vs. Sun Tzu

Ming Warrior vs. Musketeer

Comanche vs. Mongol

Navy Seal vs. Israeli Commando

Eh, I like the show, despite its flaws.

The premis is fucking amazing beyond all reason, but the execution is a little "eh"

Still, best show on spike, and at least its entertaining.

Although I personally had issues with some of the winners from season one, I like this show. Its fun watching them test the weapons. So I was glad there is a second season, I was wondering if there was gonna be one.
Your feelings mirrors mine perfectly. :)

I do enjoy the show even though I doubt some of the outcomes. The Samurai VS Vikings was especially weird...

That being said however, I'm thrilled to see more of it. Let's just hope that there is a Pirate VS Ninja fight in there somewhere!
I don't know... it was a quick, highly skilled fighter vs. a brutal, slow, more powerful, but could have easily been taken out tactically.

Pirate vs. Knight. Now THAT'S bullshit. Watch it. The pirate gets hit in the face with the PROVEN skull-breaking power of the Morningstar. I've just turned this into a debate thread, haven't I?

Excellent idea

Weak execution

Entertaining to see the weapons actual effectiveness instead of the crappy put the sword under your arm and fall over stuff that we see in other history shows.

The arguments between the warriors was dumb

Guy 1: ( Chops dummies head in half in a swingle swing ) how do you like that ?

Guy 2: Meh, thats nothing but a scratch. ( does their demonstration where they kinda damage the dummy, but nowhere near the first demonstration) YEAAA ! We are the ultamite badasses !!!!!

No there won't be any need for a debate. :)
However, according to the Aftermath the pirate didn't receive a killing blow in the simulation, just a glancing hit that knocked the hat of and a slight hit to the shoulder. The simulation is meant to be a visual representation of a probable outcome rather than a actual combat manuscript.
The Knight got most of his kills from the halberd for example, but didn't use it a single time during the simulation.

As for Vikings being slow and lacking of finesse that's a popular myth. They were extremely skilled fighters that were very adaptable and had impeccable sense of balance. The Viking should have had much less problems than the simulation showed.
Especially when the Kanabo came up. That should have been an automatic death-sentence for the Samurai.
Even when they messed up the data they were very close, with the Samurai only winning with a few percent.

Assuming that it would be one on one (and that they fought in a similar fasion to their troops), Atilla would probably win, as there is no way that a heavily armored foot-soldier could catch a horseback archer.

I am partial to believe that Atilla will win, but I doubt that they'll allow him to make use of his stead. I think they want to compare how they'd do against one another on even ground, given their different skills and weapons.

Alexander The Great never lost a single battle, don't see why he'd start losing now just because he's dead! Death is for pansies.

As for the show, it's stupid. It really is. The tests are impractical and inaccurate, the so called 'experts' often hilariously sketchy, the hosts annoying, and the much talked about 'computer program' little more than a glorified statistics calculator.

Fortunately it's the fun sort of stupid you can laugh while watching and chat about with friends later! I rather like it, and will try to catch as many episodes as I can.

two easy ways to make deadliest warrior better:
1) Keep your cheesy choreographed fight scenes to yourselves. no one wants to see that crap, especially after you just proved how most of the weapons can kill with one hit
2) Stop testing "weapons" that aren't meant to damage, and then complaining about "killing potential". thats retarded, you're grown men, get a brain.

Atilla, just cuz I never really paid attention to Alexander... wasn't he the dude who started a whole war just for Cleopatra a.k.a. best p***y ever (apparently)?

This is me giving my support to the underdog. Alexander may have inferior weapons but was a master warrior and he was renowned as a master tactician. Gotta give it to the Greek!
