i was ninjad by this, i was going for something like "i argue that you are an attention whore by specifying your gender in the thread title. debate me!" though the guy i quoted was more...tactful^^

I, too, was going to say something like this. So, yeah, here goes:

I postulate that you are under the impression that being female somehow makes you special, while the truth of the matter is that you share that characteristic with about 48% of humanity. I would argue that your assumption about the denizens of the Escapist forums -that they don't have the opportunity to hold conversations with women on a regular basis- is false and insulting.

Male and female tend to think differently, many factors such as how we are raised, where we are raised and our genetics play a big role here.
Is it not being sexsist to be calling her attention whore just for revealing her gender in forum? I've never seen a dude being called attention whore for revealing his gender.

What people think you are is far more important than who you actually are

There are no truths that can be held to be absolute, only opinions and social norms.

Animal cruelty/non-vegetarianism/basically holding animals to be in a lower position than humans etc. are morally indefensible

Holding plants and rocks to be in a lower position than animals is basically morally indefensible as well.

In other words, don't eat. Don't build anything... Don't interfere with anything... ;p

You thinking it is murder doesn't really say much. Does that mean you're pro-life? I've known people who thought it was murder but were pro-choice, because not everyone thinks the same.

There is one absolute truth. I can prove that I exist. Cartesian theory would agree with me here, and while you may have the same truth, it is potentially only true for one of us. That is still one absolute truth no?
