I'm Canadian, and there's a bit of paper in my wallet stating that I'm a Liberal. I'm rooting for Obama in the American campaign, just because I want to see Stephen Harper choke on his own indignant froth. Aussi, Docteur Dion: You're a clever man and I'd love to see you head my country, but you better hustle up some sparkle or I'm voting for Layton this coming election. Harper is being blatantly underhanded in how he's handling it this time. Call him on his bullshit, and we will love you.

As a Canadian I have a few more flavours to choose from. We've got Liberals, The NDP, the Conservatives, and the Bloc Quebecois.

As a young person with very few responsibilities the only thing I really care about is getting weed legalized, and I've heard that the NDP is for that.

I am glad that people have asked me why- I believe that we have the responsibility to question eachother as to our motives of voting FOR something, not just voting AGAINST something.

I ask anybody voting for Obama to tell me exactly why? What policy? What ideal?
And I ask anybody voting for Hillary to tell me, what are you doing now, and why?

We did have a population based representation system...it's called the House of Representatives (the lower house of Congress). This of course was put together because smaller states feared the power of the bigger states.

Sorry, life called for the past 5 hours and I had to go do the daily grind.
The edit button's been ringing off the hook too. I can hear it's anguished cries at triple-posts on my end. Also, when replying to someone, it's generally good etiquette to at least make some mention of who it is. These cryptic posts don't do much to help sort this discussion out.

I am voting democrat because as of now there are only two effective choices.

I sure as hell don't want another Republican in office. I think it's time we let the Democrats take a shot. They sure as hell can't screw it up any worse.

I guess on a most basic level I'm more of an Anarchist I suppose. I'm all for watching the world burn.

Vote Bloc Quebecois: because things get boring without a good secession every once in a while.

Hell, Bill Clinton fucked up so bad in office we had a huge surplus and a great economy and the lowest unemployment levels... /Sarcasm
I've always wondered how much of those good times were a result of Clinton's 1337 presidential 5ki11z and how much was him sitting on a growing economy. I don't know either way, I'm just saying I've wondered.

I'm a pretty liberal guy, but I don't really identify myself with any political party. I'm obviously a democrat by nature, but I don't think identifying or siding with a particular party just because its 'your party' is a good thing. I side with the people who I feel is right, and at the moment, thats the democrats. Atleast, I agree with them more than the republicans.

So word.
