George Carlin also helped me give a more cynical view on the worlds problems. In case those things worry you. I actually helped a ladyfriend of mine with her problem of "I think the world would be better off if all humans were dead" by recommending watching George Carlin.
George Carlin worked as a therapist for me too :) I also think that world will be better without people around, you think that's wrong? :/
Carlin pretty much tought me to be cynical about the worlds problems in order to deal with it mentally. Humanity will manage. Nature will always find a way (ask the volcano victims in pompeij) etc.

this is a gaming community, why dont you party up and play some games with us? when i feel depressed i play with my friends and coworkers, it will help you forget about your problems, atleast for a little while. and that helps.

Good old depression.

I had problems with it for years. It just seemed to get better all at once. The better I got at my work, the more people I spoke to and the better my physical condition got, the less depressed I felt.

Getting a new girlfriend will help you, to put it bluntly.

Find a good friend, someone you trust not to mock you, and talk it over. Talking really does help. People go on about getting professional help, but sometimes talking to someone who knows who you are and understands your situation can help you better than some complete stranger.

Of course, it depends on the situation. If its continuous thing over a long period professional help might be the answer.

The thing is i have a good job i have good friend that i talk to about my depression and i do work out and life still just seems meaningless and as for a new girlfriend i don't think that would be a good idea i just can't get the last one out of my head and just getting a new girlfriend for replacement dosen't seem like a good idea.

Depression is caused either by an imbalance of chemicals in the brain (thus, clinical depression and requiring medication), or by something that's bothering you.

You either needs to sit down with some friends and talk about it or you need to go talk to a Therapist/Psychologist and talk about it. It's not gonna be "cured" in an hour, if you are actually depressed, it takes a lot of time talking to get over it.

Depression is a test of character. You really gotta reach out to people in your life like family. Try to be active physically in your life, find a purpose that you believe that is worth fighting for. Get your friends to help you get to where you want to be by being a friend to them.

It is up to you to make the most out of your life. The U.S.S Hope isn't going to dock itself and get you out of your depressing. Only you are. I've been there and you have to make an effort everyday to move yourself forward and sitting on the computer isn't going to change anything.
Actually that seems to be a really good idea i guess i could do some volunteer work or something in that nature thanks

Do this, just backwards. Seriously, grab a few beers, maybe a cigarette or cigar, wait until nighttime and just go up on your roof, or out to a field or something, and take some time to think. Sometimes, you're so busy being depressed that you can't find a way out of it. Figure out why, and come to terms with it.
