I get down, but it's defiantly not depressed. Just pissed at myself for being poor and not going to college all the way through, once that is sorted I'll be happy as ever (around about summer next year).

Then I can get sorting other things out until my life is complete for awhile until I die, then I'll attempt to look back and see if it was worth it. But more likely I'll fail at finding an afterlife and just not exist any more and rot away for a few years until I'm totally forgotten about and the tiny impact I made on anything is smoothed over.

I have Major Depression Disorder, and I take pills for it. I've been hospitalized for it twice.
I still get down with I think of having to go through life alone, and by "alone" I mean no significant other.

I occasionaly feel depressed, but normally it's just let out in short bursts of cynisism.

I don't have that bad depression. I go through a daily existential crisis (always in math) and I'm not sure about of a lot of things. But I press on.

Well, these always get my mind off depression.
I guess I don't really deal with it, I just wait until it eventually passes. Because it always does, and when I'm not depressed I act slightly crazy, which is always fun.

I used to feel that way until I found Wabbit (aka almightywabbit on this site). Already in 6weeks he is my life. He is the one who keeps me getting up for college each morning knowing I shall see his face and hold him in my arms at 8.30am.
For years I was messed around by lads who took advantage of my shyness and never though the right one would come around. Now I know I have found what I have been looking for and hope to never lose him with my stupid ways.

Never give up looking for your other half. They will be there. Maybe not as a parter though. Some people have been single all their lives and their other halves are just their best friends. It still works.

Am I really the only person who hasn't been depressed at one time? I find life quite easy to cope with, but that could be because I haven't seen too much life in the first place, being 15 years of age. I don't believe in suicide, and neither should the majority of people who have posted here (still having 50+ years of life ahead of you).

I can understand that some people will find life difficult to cope with, but as my belief dictates, this is your one shot at it; why ruin it? If you genuinly cannot live anymore, then suicide may be your answer, and I can accept that.
Exactly, as long as I have some good friends, play videogames and can think about the girl I like. Life's good.

Well I hope it works out for you. Unfortunately I will be 28 years old in just over 3 months, I'm running out of time; and I don't know the first thing about dating and I can barely talk to people let alone girls. My prospects don't look good. It doesn't help when you have a younger sister whose already pregnant with her second child and you're... well... let's just say I've never even been to the factory.

I used to be so depressed, I was suicidal, but, I eventually learned how selfish suicide is and I got myself back to normal through sheer will and determination.

I still get depressed from time to time but nothing serious. I call it my male period.
More or less the same, although I never got to the suicidal stage.

I don't have a depression.
A depression is a real ailment with a neurotransmitter imbalance, not some teenagers whining about the chick that wouldn't fuck them.
The word is thrown around far too casually.

And I'm not really sad, either.
Admittedly, I'm not happy, but I'm content.
Sometimes that gives me a pang, but otherwise I'm fine.

Bless but still there is always time. I was a loner. All i did was ask if he was meant to be in my class since it was our first day in college and they had moved the classroom. He looked up at me answered and then said his name. I looked into his eyes and i quote from Breaking Dawn "Steal cables held me" to him.
That is all it takes. A short question, one look and your hooked for as long as you can make it last.

(Congrats on your future niece/nephew) You never know (I hope it does not for her sake and the kids) but your sister's relationship could end at any time as you never know what the future holds sadly.

Once I decided to be myself, the raver, brawler, gamer, anime nerd, geek that I am and not caring what anybody else thought, I perked right up. After that I started making freinds and the like.
Same here, it's so silly that such a simple thing was the solution... And the best part is seeing that people actually accept you despite the whole game/anime nerd thing.

I do get sad now and then, but the box o' kittens picture and http://fuckyeahcandy.tumblr.com/ always make me smile.

Geeh, this sounds a lot like me, I have the same symptoms (DemonicKitten), tuesday I will be admitted to a institute for the mentally ill, but it isn't a real big shock for me, I've been in 3 others and I'm only 16
An institute? How does that work?

By the way I cant stop looking at your avatar.

I've went through some periods of depession, but I just found a lot of things to put my attention and love into, so I don't go through this anymore.

To all depressed teenagers...just wait until you reach 30 without feeling you've achieved anything and then you will know what depression is.
