Well, there;s plenty of real examples, I just dont know them.

I think this happened in the UK, a theif was climbing on the roof of a house looking for entry and he slipped from the roof fell, broke something and sued the owner.

OT: Wow. I'm quite surprised... I would've thought that happened to us first. Anyway, it's not like kids find out stuff like that through Dictionaries. They find out through their mates.

I doubt it, as I said allot of those stories are made up to either make people want tort reform, unless you can find a good case of it then chances are its one of those stories and it was just applied to another countries legal system since it was clearly made up in this one, besides his claim was it happened in america, not the UK

Banning materials isn't the way to raise a kid. Proper instruction and explanation works much better and is more reasonable. (and if your kid is looking up the definition of oral sex in a dictionary, you're already falling behind)

Seriously, I think if parents actually 'raised' their children right then there would be no issues with banning things. I read the Dictionary as a kid. Hell when I got in trouble, I had to write every word and definition in a random section of it (always hoped for X though). I also played M-Rated games on the Sega (Mortal Combat), and I haven't gone off burning people's face's with acid (Reptile is one of my favorite fighters xD). Hell, I even remember buying Alien on VHS, a Rated R movie, with no parent when I was a kid. It honestly shows that parents are more willing to sit kids in front the 'virtual babysitter' instead of teaching them. Then only get offend after they realize what they bought/showed little Timmy wasn't something he could handle. [/rant]

A.D.H.D. kinda led me off topic, but still on the plus side California is one good earthquake from shaking off the continental US, then we can declare it its own nation to help save some face.

Seriously. What is this I don't even... how does that work?

Its a something about the home owner's laws and responsibility. All I know is it falls under liability damage because if you as a homeowner know that SOMEONE (dont even have to live with you) cant go down a surface without making it hazardous to their health, then you are, by law, forced to put up some kinda aide (railing, velcro strap, make the entire thing padded, something). If you dont, then its something about willingly and knowingly endangering the public's safety and well being, and falls under your responsibility as a home owner. thats what its always good to have liability insurance on your home.
