Did biology screw over women?

Men are possibly not even needed for the reproduction cycle. See tests done on lab mice where they successfully breed mice with only the genetic material of two female mice. I'd say biology gave men the short straw tbh... evolution is the ultimate killer.

I figured this would be a good place to post it. Do you think biology, for lack of a better word, screwed over females? I mean, unlike males, they have to suffer menstruation, the agony of pregnancy (if they so wish), having to wear bras, large breasts can cause back pain (I doubt there are as many disadvantages to having a large penis), they're physically weaker than men (on average), and apparently have a scientifically lower threshold for alcohol then men (again, on average).
we covered this in anthropology last semester though what you said is mostly right it balances out(BTW bras don't count as biology that's culture and they actually help with the back pain which is also not really a bio. thing as mostly those with implants are effected)

human females tend to be more flexible/agile than males we are better at mental tasks (think weaving for an example) as well as multitasking

if you want to look at it in gaming terms your average male is a better tank but females are better rangers/mages

That's because they get to wear them as standard without anyone batting an eyelid.
As a person who gets stereotyped as a butch lesbian or a pre-op transman all the time, I have to say you're wrong there.

Now, I'm not denying that I have it ten gazillion times easier than say, a guy in a dress, and it may have to do with the fact I live in Virginia, but still I get crap for it.

Also, all bets are off when it comes to formal clothing, and the situations that require them. It's still not as bad as that guy in the dress, but when you get the point that you wear tuxes or suits as a obviously female person, it certainly isn't a case of "nobody bats a eyelid".

Due to the illness I have (which affects 1 in 10 women) my periods feel like I'm gonna have a ridley scott alien pop out of me at any moment... that is not an exaggeration. :|

I 'think' I have a higher pain tolerance because of that.

One doctor told me that it was just my period and to 'put up with it'

Now I have to have major surgery...

We buy you females nice things. So that pretty much evens things out.

OT: We have a penis. If treated incorrectly, it can easily lead to premature death. And we are more susceptible to disease because of that little dangling pinata.

And weird double standards.

So yeah, that's a couple of cool things.

EDIT: I'm kind of enjoying this whole 'women and equality' phase on the escapist. Makes for some delicious reads. :3

It sure would be nice to read a forum thread about women created by an actual woman for once.

According to a well endowed friend there is; he can't go "balls deep". If only I had that problem.

Anyhoo, women on average have a much larger white blood-cell count than men, meaning that they can survive viruses that would normally kill a man. Conversely, men have a much higher red blood-cell count on average, meaning they can survive wounds that would normally kill a woman.

Women do have a thicker and more fibreous corpus collossum or whatever it's called (the part that links the two hemispheres of the brain) allowing for better cross-communication, making them far better at multi-tasking.

I love how people are pointing out childbirth as a plus. Sure, being able to have a child is a nice idea but the actual experience (as I've been told by multiple people) is pretty unpleasant, especially in the later stages of pregnancy and the actual birth.

If you read over the past few pages you'll find them.

Men are WAY more prone to genetic diseases and disorders what with sex linkage on some of them. I think that helps even the odds. Its just not an easy thing to compare. I've never had a period so I don't know how bad it is.

I find that debatable for the average guy versus the average woman, especially during school years.

In my long, yet still young, walk through life, I have learnt many things, but one of those things.

Women are better. They are thoughtful, magestic, beautiful, intelligent, mature, calm. And what they may lack in certain degrees, they may make up for 10 fold in other things.

Sometimes I am ashamed to have been born a male, but thankful I was raised by women.

Men got the short end of the stick, men suck and every day I see this. Men aren't strong enough for child birth.
Sad to have that much self hatred....

Sweet jesus.

Thats where you would be wrong. The only self hatred I have is what I have brought upon myself and deserve.

I by no means hate that I was born as a male, I am just sometimes disappointed to be one.

Sweet god.
