Well... there is always Iraq and, to a lesser extent, No Child Left Behind.vivaldiscool said:Did bush really do anything wrong?
Sure, plenty of people are against him on policy, but I can't think of that many things he objectivly did wrong.
And it isn't like this is a monarchy, the president has way less power than people tend to think.
Yes I know. I'm bitter too, for the exact same reasons I expect.RebelRising said:As opposed to national health care for us?CIA said:Aid for Africa. That was nice of him.
fucked up on Katrina, invaded Iraq(the country that had nothing to do with 9/11), expanded the power of the executive branch, politicized the judicial branch, allowed his vice president to operate a shadow government, ect.vivaldiscool said:Did bush really do anything wrong?

Iraq. That went way, way, way beyond policy differences into the realm of gargantuan screw-ups. Hell, the whole "war on terror" thing in general failed badly...partly due to Iraq.vivaldiscool said:Did bush really do anything wrong?

I have mixed feelings on that one. He also refused to endorse teaching anything but abstinence as AIDs prevention. I'd rather people used a condom than nothing at all. Even if you're pro-abstinence, the notion that you're going to get an entire population to do it is a little ridiculous. If he wanted to stop people from dying of AIDs, he could've supported both approaches.xmetatr0nx said:This is true, he did do quite a lot to step up African aid. I know its easy to bash on the guy because he was just so dim. It was just the poeople he surrounded himself with that used him for their own ends and he wasnt wise enough to say no or didnt care.CIA said:Aid for Africa. That was nice of him.
