Did you notice most big games this year have a 3?

I think the only new IP's these days are from Indie devs and Xbox Live Arcade/PS Mini's and the like.

With the exception of a few, almost every big game this year has a 3. For example: Mass Effect 3, Gears of War 3, Uncharted 3, Resistance 3, Modern Warfare 3, Killzone 3, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and even those without 3s like The Last Guardian and Deus Ex: Human Revolution are still the 3rd even without them being a continuation.

So anyone else been noticing this? Also what are your thoughts and feelings on this year having so many 3s?

I will believe these major games are out when they are actually on store shelves. Since they all keep getting delayed, perhaps it won't be the year of the '3'

Gears of War 3
F.E.A.R. 3
Mass Effect 3
Killzone 3
Ninja Gaiden 3 (is it this year? I hope so)
Dragon Age 2--oh, wait. My bad. Still, looking forward to it.
