i really like how you quoted me... your first post was all like "i'm just interested, not bothered by your opinion at all", and after i give what i personally think, you immediatly refer me to a wikipedia article in attempt to disprove my opinion ¬_¬ i want to say why weren't you straight forward about it, but to be fair, you kinda were, so i can't say that.
uh, <a href=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/jump/18.239416.8616700>alerriixx said that, not me. He may have just been interested in what others think, but i interjected because i would very much like to convince you otherwise. That post was my first response to you. (this one is my second.)

and i'm not saying that you have to have tried to get an opinion. i just was expressing my hate for people who claim to have tried but evidently happen. and thats good for you, that you've never thought "oh, that guy seemed quite nice" and suddenly found yourself pining for them. its a weird experience when you were very certain you were straight, i'm glad you've not had to under go it.
actually i have had that experience, on a couple occasions. those feelings have always passed without me feeling a need to act on them, however. i imagine homosexuals are under a lot more social pressure to try to be heterosexual, which typically ends in failure. Chances are, he'll always be gay regardless of how hard he tries being straight.

I stick by what i believe, its your own thoughts followed up by actions at the end of the day that decides it for you. and whilst thoughts can be influenced by genes/human nature/whatever you want to call it, i think actions are more to do with the individuals environment. which includes whether there are hormones, depressants and/or stimulants running through their veins, as well as their current emotions, attitude and how they've been brought up.
I never meant to imply that genetics were entirely responsible for sexuality. I agree that environment, culture, and upbringing (which, like genetics, people have very little control over.) play large roles too. At the same time, there are several documented physiological and neurological differences between heterosexual and homosexual individuals. There's no evidence of a "gay gene" or anything like that, but genetics does seem to influence sexuality in some way.

its not like it matters though what i think at the end of the day. self-proclaimed bi-sexuals will still blow their own trumpets, particular people will still shake their heads at me when i say state my opinion as if i'm some poor deluded monkey for not believing everything i read and hear about as absolute fact when they themselves would ignore sources contrary to their opinion in another situation.
I'd be happy to consider any evidence contrary to my position. If you have any sources aside from your own personal experience, I'd really love to see them!
