Did they ?
Were your parents open and good ? or were they bad parents , over protective, religous, always stating anything they don't approve of is the work of satan ?

My parents didn't need to really, The School did it for them and from their I can make as many sex jokes as I want.

My mum even told me everything about my being born, (Apperently I was a accident, YAY !) and how i was concieved in new york......

I didn't need any. I'm smart enough to know to use protection and so on.

No, I think they assumed I'd be able to work it out for myself. While they were correct, it doesn't seem like the best course of action to take considering some of the health risks that can be involved if the people involved don't know what they should be doing.

No, My parents did not talk to be about sex.
Well, at least not until after I'd already had it.
Thankfully, nothing bad happened, I am not a father of a kid i'm not ready to take care of, and I don't have any unwanted STD's.

My parents did not talk to me about sex, they gave me a porn DVD instead, I think it was called Asian Freaks, I was 12 years old and I never turned up to school for sex education due to a burn injury.

Apparently my mother had a word with me, but I don't remember it. One day she was saying I can't treat women that way and I joked about saying she never taught me any different but apparently she did. Either way it didn't do much, I wouldn't listen to my parents about anything back then.

I go drinking with my dad quite a bit, how I was conceived and a few other things have been discussed, possibly in too much detail from both parties.

Nope never talked to me as a young teenager. They figured they i would learn everythign from school and friends (Which i did). The only time sex came into conversation is when my Dad once heard me and told me "You better be using protection". Thats the only sentance ive had with him to do with the topic.

Well in my primary school the girls learned about it the year before the boys, so when the girls were teasing the boys over it saying haha we know this. I asked my dad what it was and he told me.

They did, but not until after I'd long since figured it out for myself.

I think I first really understood what sex was when I accidentally saw "The Human Animal" when I was a kid.

(PS, free plug. Go watch The Human Animal, it's awesome.)

The media over here is quite liberal, and I read The Needle (Die Nadel) at quite a young age. Never heard anything from my parents though, except for my mother calling foster kids sluts who offer their body to anyone, woohey for having a christian mother.

I never got the talk, I got the book. It had pictures!
I can just picture the diagrams now..

"Insert tab P into slot V. Repeat if necessary."
Hah. Nice.

I was in a second-hand bookshop the other day (mmm, old-book-smell) and found 'Sex for Dummies.' It had the yellow cover and everything- not the thing a girl(or guy) wants to see on your shelf when you bring them home.

A bit of the bland textbook stuff, but they did make a few crude jokes in the meantime.

Yeah, pretty much the same here. No talk, just a stern warning when I grew into my early teens..

I couldn't help laughing at him, though.
