I learned the idea of how sex works by myself, then school cleared up most of the things I didn't understand. My parents haven't talked a bit about it with me.

No, My parents did not talk to be about sex.
Well, at least not until after I'd already had it.
Thankfully, nothing bad happened, I am not a father of a kid i'm not ready to take care of, and I don't have any unwanted STD's.
Do you have any wanted STDs?

:)
haha, I'm having a terrible time with words today, but hopefully you understood what I meant.

2 rules.

1. Use protection

2. Not under their roof

Pretty open about it actually. It's just sex like.

GOD no.

And to boot, I used to joke with my Mum that I'm a lesbian because she sent me to Catholic school for 7 years. :D

The Internet taught me. My parents did that insipid thing where they give a vague explanation of what goes on, and said they'd explain more when I was older.

My mom's only just kinda copped that I've been in a relationship with someone for 8 or so months, and gotten me the pill. About 6 months too late.

Oh well.

I'm responsible about it though, lmao, ain't nothing Yahoo Answers can't tell me.

Nope. I learned on "the streets".
The internet streets or the school streets?

There's Sex Education at school, why would my parents need to tell me about it?

Don't worry, mate. It was just something I couldn't let go.

My Mom figured I'd be smart enough to figure it out. And since it doesn't need a lot of logic, I did. I'm pretty sure she just didn't want to feel awkward though lol.

Although recently she just says use protection and if my gf gets preg, shes moving out and leaving me alone for the rest of my life. Which would be pretty nice.

My parents never really needed to talk to me about it - from Year 7 onwards we had Sex Education lessons forced down our throats for four weeks a year, ensuring that everyone knew what to do, whether they wanted to or not...

As for their opinions on it, they had two simple rules - Don't Get Her Pregnant and No Doing It On Their Bed - nice simple effective parenting :p

They did. It was kind of embarassing.

But all the really important stuff I learned on the Intersphere.

It seems they were fully aware that I would work everything out by myself, so they just never mentioned the subject. Until I was about to go to uni, when my dad asked me if I knew everything I needed about it, I said yes, and that was pretty much it.

Looking at the thread, this appears to be the situation for the vast majority.

On a side note, you'd probably be surprised to learn how many religious people don't regard sex as "the work of satan". Even some of the kinkier practices.

Nein. I never asked, was never told.
School taught the basics.
It's all boring anyway, so I don't really have to give a damn about it.
(Hooray for being nonsexual/asexual!)

Some people want babies and I've heard pregnancy be called one of the worst STDs...

Sure, AIDS may take 18 years to slowly kill you, but as soon as that tyke is born your life is ALREADY over for the next 18 years!

:D :D :D

Did they ?
Were your parents open and good ? or were they bad parents , over protective, religous, always stating anything they don't approve of is the work of satan ?

My parents didn't need to really, The School did it for them and from their I can make as many sex jokes as I want.

My mum even told me everything about my being born, (Apperently I was a accident, YAY !) and how i was concieved in new york......
More of the religious type (not uber religious, I have a friends who has it much worse (shes actually the most perfect person I know, but wouldn't be surprised if shes more fucked up than me)), tho they didn't talk to me about it. I pretty much did it on my own. I like to think I have found a compromise between religious and worldly views on sex.

My mum handed me a leaflet about puberty (which scared the crap out of me). I filled in the rest of the gaps watching porn.

Not at all. According to South Park AIDS can be joked about now. And I'm not sensitive.

:D
