We all have that one video game franchise that was fun for a while but 15 installments later it has become a hellish abomination. Post the video game franchise you want to end here.

I say Pokemon. It was fun when I was 10 but 12 games later it needs to be put to bed. The cash cow has been milked dry. It is time to eliminate these annoying creatures. Metapod smoothies anyone?

I know I'm about to enrage some people but I would have to say Madden football franchise. I've always hated the Madden games since they started coming out in the early '90's(?). Now to be fair, I'm not a big fan of any sports game in general but I loved the 2K football series. When EA got the exclusive rights to NFL licensing, I almost cried.

And I can hear programmers weeping at your comment about Pokémon Kart. All those bazillions of characters to program and balance.

The FIFA 2000, FIFA 2001, FIFA 2003, FIFA 2004, ..., FIFA 2547, ..., FIFA 15385 thing needs to stop.
What's the point in re-releasing a game every single year? Okay, so there have been some changes in teams and players, and there's some new software, but are those things REALLY so important? If they would wait 4 years or so the improvements would really make a difference.
Now it's just meh.

Well,they do seem pretty desperate to keep the franchise alive with other gimmicky acts such as Pokémon Snap,Pokémon Ranch etc.
How about "Pokémon Hero"? Play all the battle themes on small guitars.That would sell pretty well i think
