My icon has Charles Manson spontaneously jumping at this guy in court, and then doing all these weird looks..

Not sure what it implies though..

I doesn't really matter because half the time only the person with the avatar will understand its purpose, for instance so far ive always had a band album as my avatar, this probably makes people think im a fuckwad that thinks hes cool, the truth is im one of the biggets dorks i kno who happens to like heavy metal bands

There's this one user here who has an avatar that makes me rage everytime I see it. I don't remember who it is though.

I only use avatars to quickly recognize who's talking. It's easier for me to remember an avatar than a username, I really suck at names. That's why I hate it when two people use the same avatar, that confuses the hell out of me.

Do you get affected by people's avatars and start building assumptions about them? Has happened to me, even though I try not to.
Do you think I'm a real sloth? I do.

Not really, but if it's a character I know, I tend to read the post in that characters voice.

If they have a female avatar I tend to assume they are female (although less so if its an anime character).

I'm more of the opposite. I have a hard time remembering faces, and have better memory of names.

I like people who have David Bowie as their avatar *EmileeElectro*
David who?

I judge everyone equally.

Except people with ZP based avatars.
I judge you for not knowing who David Bowie is!

no, it says so little about the person it's not worth it. there have been some great avatars, saw someone recently with one of a split yin yang revolving round itself...it was AWESOME.

I get a smile if its an anime that I recognize and like. (cool, thats X, their into it/him/her). the only time I've had a negative reaction was the couple of times I saw (on other boards) people using a rather unpleasant and misogynistic animated gif as their avatar.

When I see someone's avatar I see there personality. I don't judge them based on what there avatar is though.

There was a time that the answer was yes, but this was likely due to partaking in a much smaller community at the time (back when I played paintball regularly I could be found arguing on pbnation.com). Here, not so much as I so rarely see regular posters anyway and people tend to have a high turnover rate in their avatars.
