Pardon? Is that some religion you're a part of?

Yes I believe there's aliens out there due to statistics, no I don't think they visited us. A species that's so technologically advanced it conquered spaceflight probably wouldn't give a shit about our culture. Also, I'm not going to debate with a failed psudo-intellectual over the statistics. Google it, just saying.

Do I believe in aliens? Yes I do. The universe is huge, it is mathematically impossible that we are the only life in the entire universe.

Do I believe that aliens have ever been to Earth? No, any alien race that has the technology to make it to Earth would have no reason to. We are a weak species that has almost no good value to it. Combine that with a planet that is pretty screwed up and we have nothing at all that a highly advanced alien race would want or need. So we would just be ignored after whatever long range scans they do on Earth to find out if it is worth anything.

it,s arrogant to think we are the only (intelligent) life in the universe.
it,s also arrogant to believe the other lifeforms resemble us.

Of course they exist! But it´s very unlikely that they have visited us. The distances are way too big and there are way too many stars in the galaxy alone. After all, we as a species have only radiosignals since about 200 years? And a not so small chance of destroying our species within the next 100 years.

Every signal that travels to the next star will need hundreds of years to take. So all there is is a dark requiem in a silent films-look that proclaims of our birth up to our death while we are all already dead.

Yes. We are NOT alone in this HUMONGOUS-ly large friggin universe. It can't be, we're just humans, tiny eensie peensie humans. We are NOT alone.
Period.

Not since I've discovered how very slim are the chances of a planet being in a habitable zone, with correct gravity, temperature, atmosphere for an organic carbon-based lifeforms, and those life forms being considered... well, alive. Or at least not microscopic bacterias we might never even see.

Enough to say the human race has yet to discover another habitable planet that is within the range of Earth without using above-light speed means of travel.

Yes, but I don't believe they've visited us, if so they'd not go around analy probing hicks in bumfudge hicktown and mess with their cattle, I'd assume beings with intergalatic space travel would have better things to do than go 'Lets mess with these monkey people!' Unless we are actually in The Feeble Files.

I do not 'believe' in aliens.
Aliens exist, this is a statistical certainty. The universe is big. REALLY, REALLY big. In said really big place, there are a LOT of stars. If there is a 1/A WHOLE LOT chance that life exists on a give planet, there have to be at least 2 planets that feature life.

However, we'll probably never meet them, given that the closest star is what? 50-ish years away at the speed of light (the galactic speed limit) So yeah. They exist, but nope, we ain't gonna see them anytime soon, probably.

I have no doubt there is life out there, and even intelligent life. No, I don't believe they have visited. It would require incredible technologies and power sources to get here from so far away.

That suggests two things:

1. They likely would not try to conquer or kill us because they likely would only be able to send a small payload. There would be no profit in anything other than friendly exploration.

2. If they had bothered to go through all the trouble of getting here, they would not be hiding out, hoping we figure it out someday. They'd be asking for our help, or trying to negotiate something with us.

Now I ask this question because of the recent little discovery of some bones, if you want to read it then le here you go:http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/114324-Peruvian-Scientists-Discover-Alien-Corpse

The questions fairly simple: do you believe in Aliens and do you believe that they have visited earth?

As for me, yes and yes. Aliens are something I love and I would die if we were actually visited in our life time. Do I think that will happen? Nope. Who would want to visit earth? A planet that surprisingly hasn't blown its self up yet and will attack anyone of minor difference. If there was a Advanced race out there I wonder what they would say about us.

Also, if there was one question you could ask a Alien what would that question be?

For me, it would be: Are we the only other advanced life forms you have discovered?
I think that it's unlikely humans are the only advanced sentinent life form in the universe. I think it's very likely that earth HAS been visited by aliens, and really, all pessimism aside I don't nessicarly think they would want to wipe us out on principle, or would nessicarly be paticularly judgemental of our flaws especially when you consider why we turned out like we did. Basically I could see them being invaders, mentors and benefactors, or even just kind of there as equal possibilities.

As far as the remains in question, in another thread I was saying that people are a bit too quick to dismiss them out of hand, but at the same time I don't think it's likely that they are alien remains. The reason being that for all arguements I made about testing I can't see any paticularly good reason for there to be alien remains there of all places. I'd think you'd find more supporting evidence around it if that was the case, either a crashed space ship near the body, or other bodies/mementos in the area is was buried... unusual scraps of clothing maybe... stuff like that. One alien body just sort of plopped there without anything else alien in the area is what makes this seem unlikely.

I do belive there's life on other planets But why is it so wrong to think we're the smartest ones. Or only ones that are intelligent? I mean, why can't there still be a planet of dinosaurs out there, maybe they exterminated all 'human' life and now thrive like one giant zoo. Or maybe there's other 'intelligent' life out that, but they're just on the spear now.

I also look at it from a religious point of view, if there is other life out there then they would have to experince the same miracles that we have. either that or they are perfectly 'sinless' if you will and devote their times to the study of God and his word. or they are completly 'corrupt' if you will and are only out to rape the village and burn the women.

In our lifetime we won't know. And I don't think that alien proof would rock religion to is foundation, just give the people who are zealouts more people to go after. amirite?

I just like to think that humanity is the best out there, why, because I'm human and if you don't like humanity then become an hero (when's the last time I heard that?)

Of course there's alien life out there, whether or not it's advanced or not is another question, I wouldn't know to begin with that. There is life out there there's no doubt about that, to think there isn't life out there because of odds, well the odds are against your thought.

=Life is a rare occurrence, and needs special conditions it couldn't happen.

-Actually no life does not need special treatment, we've found life living on radioactive rods and next to volcanic vents spewing out methane at 300F. Life is VERY durable and hard to kill, it will evolve and find and live.

Even if life was rare, there's billions/trillions of stars in our galaxy alone with worlds floating around them, that's just our galaxy not counting the vast uncountable amount outside our own that are even bigger than our 120k lightyear long milkyway.

These are galaxies, there's a lot of them meaning even if there was a .01% chance of life to be on a planet found, there'd be a vast abundance of life.

Have they visited earth?
That's quite the journey to meet with a very insignificant race, I imagine if they're able to cross the galaxy the most they'd do is give a glance/look through the senors as they went by. Even then? Why bother we're not advanced enough to visit. If they DID visit it'd be to steal some water and move along.

Lulwut?

I do think there are other human-like life form out there, but not riding my bike E.T phone home style with a little round space ship.

Dunno if this has been mentioned yet, but this whole thread is actually about the

FERMI PARADOX - WHERE IS EVERYONE?

"The Fermi paradox (Fermi's paradox or Fermi-paradox) is the apparent contradiction between high estimates of the probability of the existence of extraterrestrial civilizations and the lack of evidence for, or contact with, such civilizations."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fermi_paradox

Very interesting indeed. To say that "its impossible to meet aliens in space, the universe is far too big" is too simple, its a little more complicated.

I don't believe in Aliens because I have no need to. It doesn't affect my current existence, so I'm too lazy to concern myself about it.

Yes, I do believe aliens visited Earth... we never left.
YES! This is something I believe heavily.

Answer 1: Yes, as others have no doubt said, he size of the universe just doesn't really gel with the idea that one and only one speck of dust is capable of life.

Answer 2: Probably not, while occasionally entertaining I've heard literally 0 accounts of alien encounters that I find the least bit credible.
