Hypothetically.. because money can be used to purchase "recreational chemical enhancement" which can release endorphines into the brain, generating sensations of relaxation and euphoria.. so technically, yes.
Being able to pay for "booze, broads and bail" goes along way too.

I don't think money can make you happy with life. After all, most people will need friends, some importance, love, humour... All that malarkee. But if you have all those things, money can make your life better. You can afford to eat, drink and keep a roof over your head. You don't have to worry about debt and losing what you have. The people at the top and in charge of... well... YOU, will always demand some form of money off you. You can just feel comfortable and that in itself will probably help to keep you happy.
Although I guess you don't need money if you're self sufficient. Saying that though, you'd probably still have to pay some form of tax. Tax helps pay for education in many countries though... and defense and healthcare, so I suppose you're paying for those comforts. But they generally help towards making you happy as long as you can afford it.

Money would buy me time to do what I want. That might make me happy. Instead I spend my time working and saving up for tiny moments of happiness. I save all year for a two week vacation so I can pretend I'm really alive 4% of my life. Yeah, I think half a million USD a year without work attached to it would make me happy.
Money cannot buy happiness, but if you are going to be miserable anyway, you might as well be rich.
