The only reason I get annoyed, is because sometimes it means I cannot play with them. The most I ever say is "You got that for the 360?! You fool! It's source! Think of the mods! The Hardcore Co-op! Aaaghadakadakadak!"

I didn't know they had a website.
Does The Onion have something other than a website? The site has been around since the 90s. They also have a great sister site called The AV Club. I get a ton of music and TV show recommendations from there.

Edit: Woops on the double post. Just got in from work and I'm rather unfocused now.

I'm about to shock everyone here.

I'm a PC, and Console gamer

What is that, the world coming to a end, fire and brimstone coming from the the skies! Rivers and seas boiling, 40 years of darkness, Earthquakes and volcanoes! The Dead rising from the grave! Human sacrifice! Cats and Dogs living together!

Mass hysteria!
Hey, it's my favorite Ghostbusters quote! High five!

OT: I don't care what you game on. I don't care if it's a 360, Wii, PS3, PC, Mac, or the myriad of mobile choices. I don't care if you don't play games at all.

That guy who said it's depressing that people are willing to "settle for mediocrity" in terms of gaming consoles? The "vidja games are srs business" meme was made for people like you. If you get depressed over such a trivial thing, then it really must suck to be you.

No, I don't get upset if someone tells me they are gaming on a PC, X-BOX 360, or PS3. I do get upset when somebody tells me that I am wrong for using my preferred platform for playing games. I am a PC Gamer and it infuriates me when someone calls me a PC elitist. If people are going to judge me they should at least take the time to get to know me first.

No I dont care I bought the wii,360,ps3 and have a decent pc so I can choose what games I play, it used to be people giving me flack because I dont keep my pc up to top spec choosing to spend money on consoles now apparently I am wasting my money on pc upgrades because consoles are where its at.

I also get a fair bit of criticism for owning the wii as well as still playing on my snes, ps2 xbox and gamecube oh and the ds and psp as well because it is all about iphone and tablets now apparently (which I dont own).

It is no problem for me if someone chooses to play a beat em up on a pc or rts on a console despite them being traditionally unsuited for each other (yes I know you can get attachments), people telling me I should have bought the game on 360 or ps3 over the other is even more ridiculous especially when its a stranger like a shop clerk seriously why the hell are you questioning my purchase decision I didnt ask for your opinion just do your job and sell me the damn game I have done my homework and I want game y for comp x.

I guess some people feel that others are missing out because they don't buy their console (PC gamers specifically, considering the PC is a much more powerful and versatile system than consoles).

But sometimes people aren't too concerned about the benefits and just want the cheaper experience for a more casual gamer. I do though, which is why I play primarily on PC. If you were going to buy 2 or 3 games to play, I would definately get an xbox360 or PS3, not a PC.

Gaming isn't exactly cheap for some people, sometimes they will want to save money and only want to spend it on the short term. If you want a really cheap experience you'd get the wii.

The archetypes people give are stupid as hell though. It's rather silly.
