And not liking the taste is no excuse - there's a huge variety of different brands and flavours you can get, you can't hate all of them.
If all else fails, mix some vodka in with your favourite soft drink and taste is no longer an issue.
I couldn't disagree more. All types of alcohol share a common taste. Obviously there are thousands of varieties and quality levels, and some are easier to down than others, but it's still easy to pick out an alcoholic drink from a non-one, even in your favorite drink. And some people just don't like that alcohol taste.

Yeah, I don't understand why some people are so sorely against it.

I mean, yeah, you can get addicted but if you're only drinking at parties or when out with your mates then it's not going to happen. It's when you start drinking alone that you want to watch out.

I like a drink, but I know when to stop, you learn when you throw up on a 150 pound rug because you've had 8-10 pints of ale, forgot how much lolz. And have to buy a new one. I drink almost every day but not stupid amounts, maybe one or two cans on the night, of course i'll have more when I hit the pub. I'm English so it's not so frowned upon as in the states, been drinking since I was 14 and loving' it =].

No, I'm not old enough but I have tried it (long story). Two reasons.
1. I've discoverd I am a huge lightweight.
2. I've yet to find a drink that tastes worse.

Not really - a beer tastes nothing like a WKD (although why you'd drink that shit is beyond me) or even vodka. I know what you mean by saying that you can just tell when something's got alcohol in it, but no way do they all share a common taste.

I do, and I love drinking. Getting drunk is kinda hard for me though, don't know a lot of training perhaps... But I enjoy a lot of alcoholic beverages and I love drinking socially and at birthday dinners.

Not liking the taste is a perfectly fine excuse. I'll often try alcohol, my friends and parents offer it to me, yet I can usually taste the -alcohol- through the rest of the drink. On the few occasions I can't, I'll try it again, and then it hits me. It's really horrible. >_< I tried rum and coke, couldn't taste the alcohol. Tried the same thing (exact same drink, just another mouthful.) and the taste nearly killed me. Can't stand the stuff.

No I do not drink. No I have never had alcohol. I am 19 almost 20 and its more of a respect thing to my parents than thinking that drinking is bad. Even though I have a lot of examples of why it is bad.

Nope, I'm only 15. Even if I could though, I wouldn't want to. Beer, from the little sips I've had over the years, tastes awful to me.

Now and then.. not sure why, I assume because it's usually because it's some kind of party or event and either drink something on my own, get offered drinks by drunk people, or start on my own, stop, and get bothered the rest of the night by drunk people asking why I'm not drunk. At least it used to be that way, now I drink a little too much frequently for my taste, but I finally got an hangover, and decided that the price to pay for the so small fun is too high. (It's barely any different, maybe I'm more willing to say what I feel like, but I keep watching myself to make sure I never go too far.. not that fun)

But in a vague way, the answer is yes.. just.. not much and never had a blast while doing it (only had some fun because of it one time since I started, about 3 years now)

No, I haven't been able to get drunk, I've tried and have had a considerable amount to drink, but I've never been able to lose my wits.

So I don't drink. The taste isn't that great, I don't drink Pop so I can't really drink mixed beverages besides juice mixes.
Beer doesn't really taste very good (for me).

I personally like water and milk better.

Nope, i dont like the taste of it.

And all it seemed to do was slur my speach and make up a harry potter film called the Chamber of fire, how? i do not know

I think its best i dont, my thoughts are strange enough as it is, i dont need alcohol.
