Borderlands when you have the cool guns. And can run around killing ANYTHING you gosh darn want. Because you can.

EVE Online.
First time playing, I got such a sense of overwhelming, because of the sheer size of the game world, and the visuals are so fucking sweet.

Fallout 3. I thought "AWESOME! Oblivion with guns!", but when I actually got the game it turned out to be that and more.

Well, I certainly remember buying a new PC and looking at GTA 4 for a second time, but this time with about 28 FPS, thinking: AWESOME!!

Recently, Red Dead Redemption, although I wasn't really thinking in "game quality" terms while playing it, it is so immersive that once you start it you only think in Wild West and "survival" terms. My jaw did drop to the floor though when
you are manning the army-issue gattling gun carriage and just waiting for Dutch's army to attack you on that huge plain with the small hills surrounding it and suddenly you see dust rising in the horizon, nothing but dust and sand for about a minute, and then like 50 horses and indians rise from the hills and march towards you
.

Other than that, many moments in Demon's Souls, like the Dragon God and Storm King fights, as well as the Tower Of Latria in its entirety.

Prototype, and also Just cause 2.
That game was made for "OMIGOSH DID YOU GUYS SEE THAT" moments.

A thousand times Team Fortress 2. I foresee that game owning my soul with little struggle.
