I always wish I would have been born before World War II and been about 18 years old when the war started.
You would when you die of a curious case of Polio/Smallpox.Superveloce6 said:I am not saying that this era is not great by any means I completely agree with you about all the technology I find it fascinating I just like the lifestyle of the old days where everything was much more simple. Plus if you were born back before technology was HUGE you wouldnt know what you were missing.
So, basically, you want to go back in time and be 'someone'.Rayne870 said:Yes, I wish I was born in time to still explore the world, and specifically be around during the "golden age" of Piracy. Either that or I wish I was born much later than now when we make first face to face contact with an alien species, or have the capability to travel in space. Essentially I just wish there was somewhere new to go and vastly undiscovered.
Edit: As for living in the past if I did die of some horrible disease that we have a cure for now I think I would be ok with that in trade for a life at sea.
I like your pants too.Erana said:Seeing as I am a woman who likes pants... Late 20th-21th century works fine.
"The" lifestyle of "the" old days? What particular period do you mean? Most of the time, life was just as complicated as it is now, with the exception of being a subsistent farmer or whatnot, when menial work was more or less the entirety of your life.Superveloce6 said:I just like the lifestyle of the old days where everything was much more simple.
I don't even want to be someone, frankly I couldn't care if I was swabbing the deck or a cooks assistant or something else meaningless. As long as I got to see new land I would be happy.AccursedTheory said:So, basically, you want to go back in time and be 'someone'.Rayne870 said:Yes, I wish I was born in time to still explore the world, and specifically be around during the "golden age" of Piracy. Again, folly. Your chances of being 'someone' is even less likely back then, seeing as there is a reasonable chance you wouldn't even make it to your teenage years.
And life at sea BLOWS
Why?Superveloce6 said:I always wish I would have been born before World War II and been about 18 years old when the war started.
