Do you fake being sick to get out of School?

I have come down with the flue over the weekend and I have decided to stay home today. What I want to know is have the escapists ever faked a sickness to avoid school. I've done it before and my friend has a theory that everyone does it at least once. So is it true or is everybody an honest student?

Well, I don't go to school sometimes, but I don't fake being sick either.

When i was in shool, i didn't fake sickness if i didn't wanna go, i just stayed home.

Bad excuses is for suckers, the teachers will think you're lyign anyways, might as well knock them off-balance by tellign them that you just couldn't be bothered that day if they even ask.

Yeah I used to, but now that I'm in college I don't need an excuse, so if I don't feel like going I just don't.

i cant because i am in college and this crap actually matters. but i have skipped a couple classes where nothing important was happening

I have, and it was normally to finish a paper or something. And I used to think papers in Highschool were hard -_-

I don't do it anymore though. I'm in college now. you can just choose not to go.

Yeah, I have not missed being sick ever since I was in 7th grade. Ah, memories. I have missed for being sick but truly was not.

I still do. And for stuff other than school or university. If I don't feel like doing something, I'll consider chucking a sickie. For sure.

I have, i've did it when I just had no energy to get up or do anything. That has only happened a few times.

Ive done it some days, but only becaus ei knew what was being taught that day and i seen no point going in. I was right too, i never fell behind and they did summary lessons all day

I faked being sick a couple of times at school. But it was just a couple of times and I never made a habit of it.

At Uni however...I'm skipping a class to type this.

If it makes me feel rotten enough that I could survive a day at school, but really don't want to, I'll groan a lot, get dressed for school and bail out at the last minute like a manly man

Sometimes I go for the first lesson, then go up to my mum (she works as a science technician at the school) and tell her this isn't working and I can't survive to lunchtime

I did that occasionally. Luckily I lived with my open minded brothers who would just call in sick for me.

I got caught once though, I went out one evening and ran into the principal. Never did it again after his preach. (kids under the age of 16 are obligated to go to school here, and if your not in school you risk a fine.)
