Do you fear death?

Like the thread I just posted in, it's something to look forward to. See what actually happens after life. Gain the knowledge of death and know that I can never pass it on. It's a new path. In the words of Gandalf "End? No, it doesn't end here. Death is just a new path, a path everyone has to take."

So bluntly... no.

I'm not really afraid of death, just like I'm not afraid of the dark. What does scare me sometimes is what might be after death, just like what might be lurking in the dark. Either way, the fear of the unknown is a great drive for adventure, and I hope my faith is correct when I start on that last adventure.

I don't want to die, but I don't fear death. Fuck, I was in a coma for 8 days, so the whole "...and then there's nothing." is old news.

Nope, death is ok, death is fine, it's dying that's an pain in the ass!

But seriusly, no I don't fear death, I have no real regrets or anything. If I would die tomorrow I would die a happy man, even though I'm still a virgin....

Yep. If you saw this guy walking/gliding down the street, wouldnt you be terrified too?

Now am I afraid to die? Yeah, a bit, but when it happens it happens, so Im not too worried.

I don't fear death. I'm just afraid of what the hell's going to happen afterwards, because if the Bible was right, then I'm pretty much screwed.

I don't fear dying of old age, and in time I'll most likely accept that death. But dying prematurely, like in a car accident, drowning in water, or a burning in a fire I want to avoid. I have a lot of chapters of my life to look forward to, and before I die I'd like to share them with my kids and possibly my grandkids.

Yes and no. No I don't want to go, and that scares me that I might. But then I realise that god dammit I won't be ABLE to regret it as I would have no concept of anything, I'd just be gone. That's somewhat comforting.

No, I had a near death experience, and decided I would gladly do it again.
So... whenever God is willing to take me - I am ready to go.

Hold on, you're asking if I fear this:

On that basis, no, and I can't wait until I die ;D.

On the basis of real life? Again, no, because it's a long way away for me at the moment, and if it isn't, then it'll be fairly sudden and unexpected, so there's no point in being afraid. No point in being afraid anyway though, given it's something we all have to live through...

NO!

I laugh in the face of danger, and pour ice cubes down the vest of Fear!

All Blackadder quoting aside, of course. I'm human, and mortal, and deep down inside am most likely terrified of it.

I certainly don't want to die now, but ultimately, there's very little I can do to stop it.
It'll happen. All I can do is decide how to use that time before it's time for the Final Boss Fight :p

I am not afraid of the fact that I am going to die, but I am afraid of what is going to kill me, be it a painful disease are an accident.

The process prior to death is often painful. Though, death by itself will be like a drugged man's quest for shutdown. I believe I stop understanding I died the moment I die, thus nothing special to be expected.

To be avoided at all cost, given the abrupt end of existence.

We all die eventually; might as well embrace it when it comes. Death can party in my pad any time he feels like.

I have accepted the fact that I could die at any time even thought a few times I was done for but it is an oath I took and was willing to make that sacrifice. So no I don't fear.

I fear the clock more than I do the grave. I figure death will be exquisitely painful and traumatizing but there are 12 billion (vague guestimate) others out there that will have to endure it. I fear non-existence and/or no longer having the time/opportunity to do and experience stuff. I begrudge every second of time wasted. Hm...no wonder I'm so cranky all the time...*ponder*

Hell ya I fear death...I still got a lot to live for here on this earth. I love God but not ready to leave this wretched place yet.
