I definately do not fear the moderators only because I know that I am not going to piss them off. I do think before I thread/post though, Only to get good posts from the community.

Do I check my posts? No. I've only gotten one probation, and I don't just say that offensive or ban-worthy things. I use obscenities, but I never direct them at anyone.

Personally, I do. If I have a very strong view on something, I take a fair amount of time trying to create a post that won't get me in trouble, or I don't post at all. The reason I do this is because I like it here, and don't want to get kicked out.

But how about you? Do you fear the wrath of the mods?
Nope I dont fear it, im not sure why but ive modded enough forums now that I tend not to post ban worthy posts by default I guess.

Not really, I just try to to be offensive and think "could this offend someone" before I post. But I'm not afraid of the banhammer.

Here? No. The mods generally seem fair enough and even though it happens, I don't expect to get banned for any of my posts.

On other forums, definitely - I never change my posts' content to get it 'out of the danger zone', but I might ocassinaly refrain from posting altogether because I know my post will only A) be misunderstood, B) invoke flaming and/or C) if applicable, be downrated.

I like being a part of this community, so I try not to provoke any kind of wrath that might end my involvement. Basic common sense really. That's not necessarily to say that I censor myself - if I say something potentially controversial, I'll always word it as tactfully as possible and back it up with an explanation, and give sources if relevant. That said, I often find myself simply not replying to stuff where I think that it'll end badly regardless of how tactfully I word it.

So... I don't think I've got anything to fear.

No. I give my honest opinion on most things, people around me have to earn respect i dont give it for free. Either way, i hardly if ever post things with malicious intent.
Or a person just has to be hot to earn your respect. Hehe, kidding.

OT: I generally try to think of a rational way to express myself. I say generally because I don't ALWAYS do it and I know I should. *sigh*
Oh god, thanks for making me sound completely shallow. By the way, have i told you how pretty you are today? ;)
Somehow I don't think derailing a banhammer topic's a good idea..
OT: Erm, I'm still afraid of the banhammer

*runs away*

Not fear as such, I'm a very nice person, and I don't really need to make sure I'm civil

but I do check for typo's and remember ti make sure it's known that I'm joking if I say something offensive

I did for the first 1000 posts or so, but I've come to realize that I just don't really say anything that will get me banned. I mean hell, I've got over 5100 posts and NO Mod Wrath has been incurred in any of them, so... yeah... not really afriad of incurring mod wrath, because I never do anything that warrants it, I always THINK before I post, mods or not.

However that's not to say that I don't fear the Mods, especially since Labyrinth joined their ranks... be afraid all ye who would post out of turn, be VERY afraid.

I've had a warning for simply posting "this" before (I was tired, sue me)

Besides that I feel my comments are all made with fair reason and I am always courteous and always willing to entertain an idea before viciously ripping it apart. But do I do it for the moderators? The short answer is no. The long answer? No, because I don't think the moderators here like to be viewed like gestapo and it's just a nice to be more civilized in your posts.

If you don't put thought and consideration into your posts when it's about a controversial topic you're on the wrong forum.
