Wow. This really is 1984.

Pray tell at what post count do we get to become members of the Nomenklatura?

All the time. The mods often seem quite sensitive on this site, i.e. all I ever see is bans, suspensions and probation. I understand that it's their job to clean threads and make sure spammers are dealt with but some decisions they make don't make sense in my mind.

Tell me something: are mods here doing this pro bono, or are they paid to do so?

Of course I do. I log on every morning fearing that somehow I've pissed off the wrong person and I'll be banned, so I try to act my best.

Of course not. These aren't the damn GameFAQS forums, where I got modded about eight times for:
"retarded"
"b******"
"No, stupid!" ("Flaming", they said, though it was obviously irony...)
and a plethora of other petty offenses. Unbelievably strict moderation like that just pisses the fuck out of me, and I'm glad it's not done here. We're all grown-ups, so pretty much anything flies here, unless you go out of your way to be an ass.

No. I haven't been hit with it yet, and I hope I never do.
Most All things I put on here aren't intended to offend anyone. Nothing I think of saying could be deemed offensive. This is because I'm generally a polite person.

Sometimes, but having been on probation a few times, I tend to think about what I type rather than just blurting it out.

I fear the mods 'cause I want a quartet of badges with people in sunglasses, and I got the chistmas crowbar instead of Duke Nukem, so I have to go all the way for a Neo badge... ;-;

Stupid reason, but its better for the mods, so... *shrugs*

Eh, people need to learn how to make their point. Being offensive is ok, as long as you're not insulting anyone. I've said my fair share of offensive things here, and I've never been on probation let alone banned. Because I always kept it civil, I never outright trolled unless it was for some dark humor everyone can enjoy.

In the end I don't care what people think. I just want them to know where I stand on it, and what's my point of view. Trying to change this would just start something nasty. So in the end I have nothing to fear because I know the rules, and I know now to break them. But for now I leave you with this.

Yeah, once or twice. But I don't go around trolling every topic so I should be okay.
And people usually ignore me, the mods seem to be doing the same.

I usually don't think before I speak let alone type what I want to say. I try my best, but hey if I'm gonna get banned for something then I'll most likely have deserved it. I like to speak my mind in accordance with the mood I'm in at the time.

Nearly two years and seven hundred something posts and I haven't been banned/put on probation once. Not worried about it; I always make sure my posts aren't blatant flaming. Though, in the past, I know I have pushed some people's buttons with a little bit o' logic.
