Lol. Freak chance is better than no chance, I say.derelict said:Ima go with sharks, given that humans aren't on the menu. Bears will eat almost anything, and you can't punch a bear in the nose to stop it if it's trying to take a chunk out of you. Rather have a pitifully small chance than no chance at all![]()

Normal sharks teeth are about an inch long. Megalodon had 6.5 inch teeth. They estimate his length to be up to 67 feet.
In that case I'll bring a "friend". That way I don't need to outrun the bear and there's a 50/50 chance the shark will be preoccupied.SensibleCrout said:What do you mean "just"? When you spot a shark underwater, it has observed you for many minutes already. If it then decides to attack (which is the scenario), there is absolutely no way you can make it out of the water in time except if you are diving with a strained bungee cord attached to your body at all times.MR.Spartacus said:Sharks. I just have to get out of the water to flee from a shark. As opposed to a bear wherein I'd be screwed if it took a liking to my "flavor".
And about being a good/bad swimmer/runner: It does not matter whatsoever. A bear is so much faster than you, no matter how good an athlete you are and no matter what the terrain. And a shark is many times faster than you can ever hope to swim. In both cases, moving as fast as you can is a very bad idea that will propably get you killed.
Never said I could outrun a bear, just that the odds say it's more likely then to outswim a sharkCheveyo said:Arawn.Chernobog said:Bear...
Sharks can attack me from any possible angle in an environment I can barely move at 10% of their speed...
Bears are effing dangerous but I have a better idea where a bear is attacking me from, not to mention I still have a chance (Slim one) to escape
You would think that, but can you outrun a horse?
A lot of bears can run that fast. So you're screwed no matter which you choose.
Sharks are more likely to bite you and spit you out.
Bears are more likely to tear you apart and eat you.
