I kinda feel sorry for people who can't play games, not due to physical limitations (though I do feel sorry for them for different reasons): for exampe my mum just cannot play games. She can't do it. I tried getting her to play Halo with me once, I'm pretty sure she managed to crash her Spartan. For her, I feel sorry that she'll never get the chance to experiance the great games (if you can't pilot the Master Chief, imagine what a mindfuck Portal would be!).
A perfect contrast would be my brother, who simply doesn't enjoy games. He can play them, he can control the characters, and occasionally we fight each other on Dawn of War or something, but anything more than a single match in the evening and he becomes bored out of his mind. Him, I feel less sorry for... and I'm not sure why.
Maybe this is getting too philosophical than it was meant to, but at least my brother gets to try them, lets to give the story a chance to be so good that it overcomes his natura apathy towards the medium. My mum, on the other hand, will simply not be able to even try the first 5 minutes of the story to see if it grabs her.
