That's pretty vague.

What do you mean?

(Honestly, I'm really not sure what you're getting at; there are a lot of ways to interpret what you just said.)
Incest is wrong, obviously. That person has an extremely similar genetic code. They are your FAMILY. Not only are their risks for the child in the case of pregnancy, but also psychological issues between the parents. And how would that kid feel growing up knowing that their parents are brother and sister? How would that make you feel? Way to screw up your kid! People are dumb enough/selfish enough to give the "well its just another vagina!" excuse. You should have to take a test and prove that you are able to raise a child who won't be an idiot. There are so many dumb parents and kids, and I feel like it's because any idiot is allowed to have a kid. If only people who KNEW how to care for kids were allowed to have them, I feel like these issues like incest, beastiality, ect. would be much rarer.

I think he means that incest = 100% wrong and since most people here don't think that it's wrong people here shouldn't be allowed to have kids.

At least that's what I got out of it.

I dunno, never tried.

A related question, though, do you find the idea of sisters (preferably twins) having sex to be less wrong than other forms of incest? Alot of people seem to for some reason.
I imagine it's the same people who want 'lesbian girlfriends' because, y'know, they'd never cheat on them and they'd be up for a threesome.

I have a lesbian girlfriend

AND ITS FREAKING AWESOME.
[sub](for many reasons other than just because she is a lesbian, but still)[/sub]

She's never cheated on me (though that's got more to do with her being a good person than with with her sexual orientation) and she totally is up for threesomes. I swear, I'm going to marry this woman.

You where saying?
you have to propose more romantically than that or i'll say no. but, wow, really? thank you! :D

I have a question for all the people saying there's nothing wrong with it:

Do you actually have a sibling of the opposite sex? (Or same sex, if you're gay)

you're silly. but i thought you wanted a godzilla/king kong balloon fight for your funeral, so how can it be what you do to propose to a woman?

So long as it does not create a child (gotta keep up that genetic diversity after all) i don't particularly mind.
Yeah, this one.
Nothing wrong with incest as a concept.

In all honesty, I'll say it does make me feel weird thinking about incest. When it comes to procreation it's obviously wrong, but that's not what sex is about these days is it?

Knee-jerk react vs. logic is always a tough one...
Pretty much this. It's a male fantasy. As long as they're attractive, most guys would love that, if only because they want to join in (or failing that, watch).

I think incest is fine, as long as you don't have kids. Adopt a kid if you really want to get married and settle down, there are always lots of kids that need homes.

Its a complex thing...
I think one should look on each individual case...
There was once a married couple, who was to have a child that actually found out they were brother and sister, separated at birth...

Each issue has layers... So i will not judge the action before i know the details.

They mean that you people defending incestuous relationships are creepy and you would raise creepy and maladjusted kids (they are right, fyi).

Hmmm, true.

What if I got you a death star as a dowry?

Meh, worked out for most royalty... gotta keep the bloodline "pure" and all that.

For me, I'm not for or against it... I just don't care. What people do behind closed doors is no business of mine. I can't say what I would do if it were people unavoidably close to me until I am in a situation where I couldn't ignore it and treat them as I normally would.

No, not really. There was a thread not too long ago where I spent hours posting about this very thing. If you're that interested, maybe go look for it?

It's 6am here, you see. Time for bed.

Such mature and logical reasoning. I like you.

i'd much rather have a ship that doesn't have a kill-shot hole in it. besides, star trek>star wars anyway.

The idea disgusts me and the concept of actual love between siblings makes me scratch my head in confusion. Maybe it's just because my siblings and I are always ready to kill each other. Ultimately, if it makes someone happy, I only mind if I know about it...No breeding though, stuff like webbed feet need to stay out of the gene pool

Perfectly fine to me, then again I'm also okay with certain forms of beastiality, pedophelia (as long as they stick to masterbation), and homosexuality. (Ironically, this is took the longest to get 100% used to)

What DOES make me slightly worried, however, is when people say that people like me have mental issues or are going to doom the future of humanity.
