I like to keep my internet life and real life as seperate as possible. That's why I don't take part in social media sites.

I'm pretty much the same, but online I break out of my shell more, and talk a lot, whereas in real life I'm quiet. But if you ask me what I'm like, what I like, I'll tell you straight out, I got nothing to hide or change into someone I'm not.

...Although I did do it for awhile, it just wasn't me. /pun

At different times, I've had more of an internet persona, but I've been off the forums for quite a while, until the last few days, so right now I'm basically no different from how I am in everyday life. About a year ago, it would have been another story.

I don't see the point in pretending to be something else on the internet.

I'm the exact same here as I am in the real world.

Some people do it with realizing it... When I started posting here I was terribly depressed and didn't talk period, but it didn't show through in my posts, because if it did I would have no posts... but anyway, I wasn't actively looking for comparisons between RL and online me so I really couldn't say if there was a difference or not at the time...

Nope not any more. 10-12 years ago, like all teens i tried to act a little more "grown-up" and like the most i overdid it. Now im happy with my childish illogical behaviour, double standarts and unfairness, just like in RL.

Nope. What you would see on line is pretty much what you would get in reality. From newsgroups to IRC and onward I have always endeavoured to behave as I would if I was standing in a room with the people that I was talking to. I have no patience for people who put on persona - One ride on the "I know we met on line but we are in love" roundabout was enough for me to get properly pissed when people put on a fake identity (not her name, not her picture, not her profession. Loved her anyway but pulled the plug because I have this funny thing about needing people to tell me the truth..)

Nope. I'm pretty much exactly the same as in real life. I never really saw a point in pretending to be something different online. And most people that do it are very obvious anyway.

Interestingly enough, I might have developed bipolar-ism from posting on forums way too much. Toasty, my persona, is a slightly arrogant, totally awesome sexist. Who is occasionally a dinosaur. Almost completely opposite from the /real/ me.

You can do italics by encapsulating the words with ["i"] something [/"i"] without the quotation marks.

OT: Not really, but I base my personality in real life and online by piecing together traits of different fictional characters I like.
