You could use a gel rest they're normally available at office supply storesbeliever258 said:kidigus said:You could try using a joystick, but that'd only help with one hand.believer258 said:yeah, most of the time that's just where my hand lands. I have a bigger problem with PC wrist cramp - you know, after having your wrists setting on the edge of a desk for so long that they fall asleep and start aching?
Any hints on how to solve this?
Uncomfortable. I want to use a keyboard. Of course my entire set up is hard to get comfortable in - my desk is made for working in, not for gaming in, and the keyboard and mouse I'm using are very old, though both still function perfectly. My choice of chairs consist of a hard desk chair and a low lawn chair with pillows in it, neither of which are fit for gaming. Damn. Actually, I can get on my bed and pull the little plank that the keyboard goes on and put my laptop and mouse on it, but then I get what my brother's friend calls "video game butt" - that sensation in your ass that tells you you've been playing too long. Actually, that one's my fault...
Was it loss of blood flow or a callous? I had callouses. :/FalloutJack said:No...but as a kid, I discovered an affliction that I referred to as Nintendo Thumb. It's when enough playing will turn the thumb white.
I'm going to go with loss of blood. There was a numb feeling accompanying it, as though circulation was affected.JezebelinHell said:Was it loss of blood flow or a callous? You think that's bad? I have scars on my thumbs. My right thumb is worse, due to Nintendo's wise decision to make the letters on the Gamecube controller engraved, so constant high-speed button switching wore down the skin so much it bled. That's where playing SSMM for money gets you.FalloutJack said:No...but as a kid, I discovered an affliction that I referred to as Nintendo Thumb. It's when enough playing will turn the thumb white.
WanderingFool said:Oh, so this is an actual condition... ever since I installed Oblivion on my laptop, Every game since than used the WASD. Now, when I just st my hands down on my keyboard, they instinctivly go to the WASD buttons. Damn, if that aint wierd...
What I want to know is if there is a cure for Mouse pads? and no, not from just porn...
I played Tetris on a Gameboy while sitting in a chair with my elbows propped up on the chair arms until my pinkie through middle fingers turned white on both hands. I decided it was time to call it a night.FalloutJack said:I'm going to go with loss of blood. My cousin had Nintendo Thumb - completely dislocated the joint in his thumb, needed to have it operated on to fix it.FalloutJack said:I'm going to go with loss of blood. Buy a mousepad with a gel pad for your wrist. Seriously helps reduce Carpal tunnel, rsi's and in general overall pain and cramps.believer258 said:yeah, most of the time that's just where my hand lands.
